... table or Mini. Recall that the tail-ball is always located at the head-ball's Theta + Pi, and 1 - head-ball's Rho. From there you should be able to figure out the analogous head ball Parking tracks.
However - we are not recommending doing so. I WAs initially excited when I discovered the ability to add 2-ball function, and the WAy it can produce very nice patterns with some algorithmic tracks. And the ball Park is designed symmetrically because head-ball Parking WAs planned. But we've recently stopped shipping with 2-ball mode, and are moving away from of ...
@mahorlick -
Hard to know what WAs the specific cause of both balls being together - but almost certainly could not be related to which track you played. More likely, sand may have built up around the "ball-park" (barrier under the shade ring where the second ball is Parked and picked up). This can prevent the second ball from going all the WAy into the Park - if so, it can accidentally be picked up by the main ball as it goes by. There's no automated WAy of separating them - so the fix is removing the glass and doing it manually. Make sure you brush the sa ...
Fora metal coffee table (36" diameter), the configuration setting is RGBW 2-ball (NOT servo). The radius should be set to 13.5. The purpose of the ball Park piece is to provide a WAy to purposely cleave the tail ball from the tail magnet (which is called "parking"). This happens when you play the special track "detach" and allows you to go from 2-ball play to 1-ball. The ball stays Parked until you play "attach". The placement of the ball Park is important - follow the directions carefully.
... table with RGBW lights.
-> Should i use the (SERVO, 2 ball edition), or the (2 ball edition)
Also, the RADIUS field is blank. I noticed on the tutorial video, this field had 8.25" entered. What is the correct value for this? When i leave it blank i am getting the ball trapped in the ball Park WAy too often.
Finally - What is the purpose of the "Ball Park" Piece? Is it really needed?
Thanks!
@Bruce - So I decided to play around with creating a track after logging into my table and seeing the rho, theta coordinates for the "tail" attach and detach tracks. Using those as a guide, I WAs able to create tracks that utilize the other side of the ball Park. Both have worked perfectly after multiple runs. AttachMain is attached below. **Note: I ran them with the tail ball already attached. I'm sure that both balls in the ball Park could be problematic for the magnets.**

This just in from our developer, Matt:
My first guess is that he already has his own tracks downloaded. The default filters show only tracks you have not yet downloaded. If he goes to the hamburger icon (three lines) and switches the filter to "All Tracks", does that show his own again? Tracks you've already downloaded will have the green checkmark next to them.
Matt
OK. I know why the file WAsn't attached, since this just happened again. The file type isn't allowed. Here's a google drive link. Just hit request, and send a message if there's a space to.
1.12.04 update is out. With it, on the homepage, you can click on "Connections" in the Next Up heading to View the track flow and information on their start/end (rho) values.
The table will do its best to play smoothly, but depending on the order and track values, it is not always possible. The queue will let you rearrange the track order yourself if you WAnt to fix the upcoming order manually.
Appreciate the multiple suggestions, and will discuss with devs. One thing to keep in mind is that high speed on tracks that have sharp corners (which "erase" completely avoids) is more likely to cause position error on metal tables and Minis (because they use steppers, which do not have position feedback). Position error does not cause physical harm - but can cause noise, distorted tracks, and losing the ball from hitting the ball Park.
AFAIK you cannot View files downloaded from community portal? But, I don't think the appearance is a table size issue, I don't think it's even completing the track, is it supposed to end mid table like that? I didn't think that WAs an option. Maybe the download WAs corrupt. I haven't gone full diagnosis on it.

In Tasker, create a 'HTTP Post' action for each Sisyphus task (I've set pause, play, sleep and WAke)

... the update will complete and the table will reboot.
As soon the ball begins to move UNPLUG your table. WAit 30 seconds and plug the table back.
You can now operate the table as desired.
What may happen if you do not power-cycle your table after the update - The ball will fail to return to the center and begin operating in the wrong position. This is likely to result in one of the scenarios below:
The motors will fault, showing a notification that there WAs a hardware failure. If this does happen, you do not need to worry about damage to your table. Just ...
My guess is that you might have some cumulative position error (tiny errors that add up). This is more likely to happen if you run at high speeds. We're working on some improvements to the motion control code, that should lessen this likelihood - but in the mean time, you can move (or remove) the plastic ball Park by carefully loosening it by prying it up with a non-sharp flat tool (butter knife?). It's held in place by strong double-stick tape.
Hello, i have placed a order for a coffee table and am excited to start using it when it arrives. Is there a WAy to build playlist, explore tracks, or learn the ui of the app before my table arrives? I downloaded the app and it appears that without connecting to a device that the app has a roadblock.
Also if the app is a dead end until connected, is there a web based WAy to do build Playlist or View available tracks?
And lastly, is there a place for users to share their favorite playlist or tracks with each other. Is there a WAy to sort tracks for "most ...
Hi Hunter -
You are not the only one who would prefer the LED shield ring to be smaller, and not overlap the sand field so much. The design process in making this choice WAs a compromise between showing as much of the sand as possible vs. minimizing the potential for direct line of sight to the LED's (which can be very distracting from across a room). This is very angle dependent - not a factor when looking straight down on the table, but is while seated 3+ meters away - especially with the end table version, since it's LEDs are significantly higher than t ...
Agreed! I use some tracks as a base before the next track, or to plow sand back to the center, so I’m not concerned about precision on those tracks, and would use faster speeds. For more intricate patterns, slower speed with more detail is better.
In addition to the ability to change the speed of individual tracks in a playlist, I’d also like the ability to select whether to pause after each track. If I ran an E10, an attach or detach, or an Apache1 in reverse to push sand into the center, I would deselect the contemplation pause after those tracks. Possibly, for the attach and detach, program it to immediately begin the next track always.
When editing a playlist, and selecting the add a track option, could the new track be inserted into the playlist at the point where you are in the list? Current behavior adds the new track to the bottom of the list, then you need to drag the track into the desired position in the playlist.
What function does the “favorite” button have? Can “favorited” tracks be added to the left side of the edit playlist screen so they could be inserted easily? If so, I’d recommend that the attach and detach tracks default to “favorite” for easy insertion. If this is already a feature, please accept my apology for not having tested it!
Do the tracks have the ability to attach multiple images in the library? I’d appreciate seeing images of the track in standard and reversed mode (for those that can be reversed), and with multi-ball (standard and reversed).
Finally, I have a suggestion for an edge-plowing track. The magnet can go outside of rho 1, as it does during the Park and attach routines. Can a track be created to use the second ball to run consecutive reversing “c” patterns ending at each edge of the garage from the extreme reach of the 2nd magnet arm to clear the edges of the sand ridge back inside of the rho=1 position?
Thank you!
Today we released a new update to the Sisyphus tables, with a matching update coming to iOS and Android as soon as they pass review with their stores.
Sisyphus 1.10.77 update includes:
Fix reversible issue with old tracks (endless teardrop)
Remove comments/duplicate verts on track intake
Hotspot turned off if connected to Ethernet
Force Orientation for tracks
Download Webcenter tracks directly
Async track time calculating, cached track time values (less movement pauses when this occurs)
Skip thr lines with more than 2 values, clamp Rho values to -0.1:1.1
App/Browser 1.10.51 update includes:
Tablet/Web View layout added (see attachment)
Dark Mode (based on your OS settings)
Change brightness or Sisyphus from Sleeping Screen
Shutdown added to Advanced Settings
Improved track time on Home page
Force Orientation toggle on track page
Additional bug fixes
Tilt controller (App only)
The update as a whole fixes a number of bugs that could make the table pause movement when is shouldn't have.
As for what is coming up in the next updates, we will be working on Erase Between Tracks (it is working, but the playlist logic still needs work). We also are working hard on a new card image that is more resilient to power loss issues and a new update process that is faster and more reliable.

I run 2-ball frequently; I have Attach and Detach in my main playlist so it's kind of random. Yes, some tracks are not ideal in 2-ball mode. There is a flag for this, but the table does not use it yet. On my 2' side table I've never had lost ball or attached-to-main. The only problem I have is that after a while Detach stops working due to sand build-up in the ball Park, so I have to manually clear that. I'm wondering if maybe you have too much sand on your table. Did you use all of it, or about half-ish (we didn't use all the sand that came with the table).
Hi gang. I’m a newbie and am very excited about the anticipated arrival of the metal coffee table that I just recently ordered.
Q for you, as I’m new. I’ve seen multiple references to the two-ball + RGB upgrade, and now am not sure exactly what I might be getting when the table arrives. If I ordered the RGB metal coffee table, does it also come with the two-ball capability (ball Park + extra arm + extra ball) or is that an additional customization that is purchased separately?
@burningamd, ah, right using the Community feature you can't see the track files. My tracks (same as in the Community) are downloadable here:
@Bruce, OK, good to know about it not being centrifugal force! Too much sci-fi on my part I'm sure. Could the ball Park not be positioned correctly?
