| RE: Cannot connect to Sisyphus wifi, fails to find ip | 3 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Connectivity | |
| @mzats - Just discussed your issue during our weekly Support meeting. Couple questions: Despite being unable to connect, is the table running? Do you have RGBW lighting? If yes, then you definitely have a reset button - on the small "piggyback" circuit board attached to the Raspberry Pi (green circuit board). If no reset button, we suspect your firmware is corrupted - the fix being either re-imaging your SD card, or if you prefer, we will send out replacement. Here are the directions for re-imaging the card. Or please contact our Support desk if you prefer the SD card to be sent out. | |||||

| RE: Have to connect to sisiphus network everytime I open app | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Connectivity | |
| Sorry your Sisyphus is having connectivity issues. The first question is are you sure you had it connected to your WiFi? Could you send a screenshot of the Settings>Advanced screen, once you have it connected to your home WiFi? I've started a Support ticket for you, and you should be hearing from our Support staff soon. | |||||

| The best place to get help with troubleshooting (software or hardware) is on our Support desk. The first thing to do is make sure your table is up to date with the latest firmware (go to Settings > Firmware Update). If the problem you're seeing is still there after your table updates and reboots, please start a Support ticket using the link above. | |||||

| RE: Lights flash twice but won't turn on after | 3 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| Understand your frustration - worry not - we'll get your table working again. First though, I WAnt to stress that this forum is not the place for troubleshooting. We have an expert Support team for that - here. The likely problem you have with the new image, is that you have not changed the configuration to match the table you have. The downloadable image is configured for a side table with RGBW LEDs. I'm guessing you have white LEDs and not a side table. To change your configuration to the correct one, follow the steps in this article (the last part). If ... | |||||

| ... a cheap square one myself. it has a 1m x 1m size (80cmx80cm viewable sand).I will send you the images of the machine when it is finished. I used a 6mm mirror plate as the sand Support surface and used fine baking soda as sand but I have 1. noise when the ball (16mm) is rolling and 2. the ball movement is not as smooth as the ones in the Sisyphus Table Trailers. In search for a solution I found this forum and this post. So I WAnt to kindly ask if it is possible for you to tell me what is used as sand Support surface and what type of sand (exact size, shape ... | |||||
| Track corruption on restore -- please add Backup/Restore | 3 Relevance | 5 years ago | john.hughan | Table Usage | |
| I recently had to reimage my table's SD card to get my coffee table running properly after it had been shut down for several days while WAiting for a replacement LED strip that I installed after the original strip failed. After reimaging the SD card, I followed instructions I had previously received from Sisyphus Support for restoring tracks and playlists. I had previously backed up "/home/pi/sisbot-server/sisbot/content", and to restore them, I SSH'd to the table, ran "sudo killall node", and then used WinSCP (an SFTP client) to delete the existing files ... | |||||

| Hi @bram.werbrouck, If you can find a source of clean, fine, white sand locally - there's nothing "special" about our sand (other than clean, fine, and white). Otherwise, we can send out some. Please contact our Support desk, and they will take care of it if you wish to get it through us: Support@sisyphus-industries.com. Bruce | |||||

| ... Greg (the one who helped you before). Please WAit for further instructions - putting the panels on isn't hard - but that "3M sticky" on the back is a very tenacious adhesive - you WAnt to put it down only once. Not sure what you mean by veneer scraps (there should be only 4 panels), and also not sure why your ring would be dirty on the back side. We'll pursue these questions on the Support desk. | |||||

| Hi @pawliger. I have had problems in the last couple of days as well. But I went to the Support section, tried a few of the suggestions there and when they did not work, used the Help oval at the bottom right of the page. I WAs able to create a Support ticket and someone got back to me within a couple of hours. I don't know if you tried that or not. | |||||
| Request - Table firmware/SD Card Image | 2 Relevance | 5 months ago | joshua.j.gabel | Table Usage | |
| When moving somehow the SD card for my table got lost. I have since purchased a 16GB class10 card but don't have the firmware/SD image to make the replacement card. I have scoured the forum and troubleshooting sections of the website with no luck finding a non-dead link to an Image. Support is out for vacation till tomorrow and today is the only one I have off work to mess with this. If anyone has a link to an image, even an old one I would be forever grateful! | |||||
| RE: My brand new coffee table lasted a week | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| @Andrewstatham - Sorry to hear that you've had trouble with your new table. We're doing our best to prevent software crashes during firmware upgrades (and evidently, track downloads, in your case). We have a new version that we're testing now to prevent just such occurrences. I am optimistic that re-imaging your SD card will fix things - but in the future, the first place to go if you're having trouble is our Support desk. Our Support staff are all intimately knowledgeable about our products, and are extremely capable at troubleshooting and fixing problems. Bruce Shapiroartist / CEO, Sisyphus Industries | |||||
| RE: Ball going out of bounds on several tracks. | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Community Tracks | |
| I just responded to this on an earlier post of yours. I suspect that what you're seeing is a mechanical issue - possibly a loose set-screw in the Rho pinion gear. This can cause intermittent position error (the Rho motor shaft can intermittently slip inside the pinion). Here is a video from our Support team that shows how to fix it. If that does not correct the problem (or if you WAnt more help in troubleshooting) please contact us at Support@sisyphus-industries.com. | |||||

| ... causes of interference in your environment. Common reasons the table may struggle to maintain a connection are increased interference in a densely populated area, many 2.4 GHz devices in the area or distance from the router. The included radio is not particularly powerful so it's somewhat susceptible to the above issues. Solutions include changing router location, utilizing a 5 GHz band (our more recent tables Support 5 GHz) or adding a more powerful WiFi adapter to the table. If the issue is that channel 13 needs to be enabled there are two WAys to do ... | |||||

If you see the same problem, take a look under the table and see if there is anything obvious obstructing the movement of the arm that carries the magnet. Since you table is brand new, it is possible that something shifted or some packing material found its WAy onto the mechanism. | Firmware 1.9.9 announcement | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | MicahR | App Usage | |
| We had a recent server issue that resulted in some tables loading pre-release firmware. If you were affected by this your table will have firmware version 1.9.9 on it and alert you of a new version, currently 1.10.7, but will not update. Currently there are three resolutions to this. Replace the SD card with a new one that has updated firmware: If you'd like a replacement SD card, send your mailing address, name, order number or backer number to Support@sisyphus-industries.com Advanced - manually update your firmware by connecting to it using SSH: see this article for the steps: Update Firmware using SSH Advanced - re-image your SD card: see this article for the steps: Steps to re-image SD card In the mean time, be aware that you are not currently missing any features as a result of this issue. However, you will not be able to update your firmware until one of the above three options is taken. We have only seen this issue on tables with firmware version 1.9.9. If you're experiencing similar issues on a version other than 1.9.9, please email details to Support@sisyphus-industries.com prior to taking the actions listed above. We're very sorry for the inconvenience and are continuing to develop our firmware and server for increased robustness and a better user experience. Micah Roth, COO | |||||
