| RE: Table clock | 4 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Community Tracks | |
| @ddkengr - Our dev team is working on that part of the Api - both for position info to go in and out. | |||||
| RE: Single-step mode? | 4 Relevance | 6 years ago | dithermaster | App Updates | |
| The iPhone app does have a "rho / theta jog" command; maybe that Api could be used to implement your "immediate mode" request. | |||||
| Auto-Brightness for Mini | 4 Relevance | 6 years ago | minhvo | Table Customization | |
| Would it be possible to add an ambient light sensor to the raspberry board of the Mini in order to have an auto brightness like the tables? Up to now I am setting the brightness over the Api and an external light sensor, however something included would be more fail safe. If it is not supported by the software, would it be possible to get access to the pi user account to have a script running to check a photo resistor connected to one of the GPIs? | |||||
| RE: Hardware Question | 4 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | App Updates | |
| We are working on the Api, making it easier to use Alexa with Sisyphus. But given current circumstances, it's on hold. As for the LEDs on he circuit boards, there's no WAy to turn them off with current software. We do have plans to offer a bottom cover, but again, on hold at present. You can cover the LEDs with black electrical tape as a temporary solution. | |||||
| RE: Remote control by LaMetric Time, IFTTT, etc.? | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | Bruce | Other Development | |
| You are not alone! After a few people wrote about their success connecting a Flic button, I tried it, and though it WAs cool to be abe to get it to work, I could see its limitations. Voice command is definitely the WAy to go IMO. We are definitely planning to devote significant developer time on this, and IFTTT is likely the place we'll start. Our hope is to get our Api to a level documentation where the community can start experimenting soon. | |||||
| RE: "Away" timing functions | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | Bruce | Table Customization | |
| I hear you. We are working on making the app better. The focus is going to be not on brute force (cutting power and turning back on). Everything is connected and has an Api (way to "talk" to the world). Sisyphus. Alexa. Homekit (Siri).... It's coming. Just can't pinpoint how long it will take us. But not long is my prediction. | |||||
| RE: Request - Table firmware/SD Card Image | 4 Relevance | 7 days ago | charitagarrett98thc | Table Usage | |
| Losing an SD card can be frustrating, especially when the machine depends on specific firmware and settings. It is also a good time to go through the mechanical side of the table, checking the rails, belts, and tbs bearings to make sure everything moves smoothly after being stored or transported. A little preventative maintenance now can help avoid bigger problems later. | |||||
| RE: Drinks on the table | 4 Relevance | 2 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| ... to clean repeatedly. Again -- the only caveat is that if there is a spill, you don't leave it for a long time (perhaps allowing it to run over the edge which is more a problem for the carpet beneath the table than getting onto the sand). As long as a spill is not unattended (like a leak from a WAter-filled flower vase), clean up is quick and easy and not a risk to the table. Here are a couple of examples from our Instagram grid, WAy back: Aftermath of party at the shop and my coffee spill (I nearly always have a cup close by). | |||||
| RE: "Pause between tracks" | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| @Cameron - Thanks for the work you're doing on this. We've added Api documentation to our dev's priority list, and with some pointers from him I WAs able to get my Flic button to control play/pause and brightness up/dn. Given the Flic is limited to three actions (click, double-click, and hold) I don't see it as the ideal controller for Sisyphus - but it has definitely fueled our desire to explore more WAys to allow people to connect their tables to a range of IoT control schemes. | |||||
| RE: "Pause between tracks" | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | cameron.meindl | Table Usage | |
| Sorry yes the App talks to the Sisyphus Apis on standard port 80 (Http default) even though the wen and app interface is on port 3001. The Setup for the Set speed and brightness is better, I worked out the Api calls better when I had a second look and had to post actual data to the Apis so play and pause using the Post data for the set brightness should work better. | |||||
| RE: Connecting to Sisyphus via SSH | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | rberteig | Connectivity | |
| Robin, there is this project described at reddit that is building on what is known about the table's Api as used by the web site and apps: sisyphus-control 1.0.0 Bruce, I would also appreciate knowing the SSH credentials. | |||||

| For reaching out to Sandify, I would suggest doing so through their Github repo: As for checking out your files, I'd be happy to. I've sent an email your WAy. Matt | |||||
| RE: New bee question | 4 Relevance | 4 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| I can Relate to being an "old newb" - but I have the advantage of being surrounded by much younger staff, who can guide me through the jungle of mobile app interfaces. We don't have a discrete "user manual" for the app, but there are lots of useful explanations on the support section on our site. In particular - it may be easier for you to become familiar with the app by connecting your computer to your table and using the browser version (which is for the most part identical to the mobile version). Instructions are on the lower half of the page here. As for your specific questions, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "connections." While I'm pretty familiar with the app, I'm not sure where you are seeing this, and in what context. If you can post a screen shot it would be helpful. Also, Alex in support is a great resource and can guide you through the interface if you are stuck (I see you have interacted with her in the past). One central piece of advice - though all this feels intimidating at first, don't let it frustrate you. You'll get it over time, boulder by boulder.... | |||||
| Home Assistant Lighting Upgrade | 4 Relevance | 4 years ago | Sergeantpup | Table Customization | |
| Hello, I'm on Home Assistant and my table works fine with it. As far back as I could trace the code for this integration, it looks like it WAs put together by a user. I would LOVE to have the ability to change light color/temperature/light effects from Home Assistant. The integration WAs absorbed as part of HA core so I don't know who's responsible for the code any more but I put in a feature request with HA for it. I am cross pollinating my request here in case there's another savvy user who either knows the code or knows enough to give the light more ... | |||||
| RE: Ballpark problem | 4 Relevance | 5 years ago | gillesp99 | Table Usage | |
| Thanks Bruce for the instructions. It went amazingly well.. I WAs afraid that the removal of the ballpark would damage the cushion material but it WAs indeed very easy, with the butter knife.. And yes, for those who would like to do the same, HOLD DOWN the fabric and proceed slowly by "cutting" and prying underneath. You mentioned "carpet tape".. For me, looks more like spray glue... Anyway, the process left absolutely no trace, no glue, nothing from the ballpark on the table fabric... Very happy! Thanks again Attachment : No_trace.jpg Attachment ... | |||||

| Firmware 1.9.9 announcement | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | MicahR | App Usage | |
| We had a recent server issue that resulted in some tables loading pre-release firmware. If you were affected by this your table will have firmware version 1.9.9 on it and alert you of a new version, currently 1.10.7, but will not update. Currently there are three resolutions to this. Replace the SD card with a new one that has updated firmware: If you'd like a replacement SD card, send your mailing address, name, order number or backer number to [email protected] Advanced - manually update your firmware by connecting to it using SSH: see this article for the steps: Update Firmware using SSH Advanced - re-image your SD card: see this article for the steps: Steps to re-image SD card In the mean time, be aware that you are not currently missing any features as a result of this issue. However, you will not be able to update your firmware until one of the above three options is taken. We have only seen this issue on tables with firmware version 1.9.9. If you're experiencing similar issues on a version other than 1.9.9, please email details to [email protected] prior to taking the actions listed above. We're very sorry for the inconvenience and are continuing to develop our firmware and server for increased robustness and a better user experience. Micah Roth, COO | |||||
| RE: Sandify dimensions for Xyla table? | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | [email protected] | Community Tracks | |
| Thanks, Matt! I re-uploaded the SVG and made sure to set the XYLA tag, but the resulting file seems to crop only the top half of the design (see attached screenshot). It also seems to still put the design inside a circle instead of letting it fill out the full rectangle. Attachment : Screenshot-2024-06-10-at-5.33.06 PM.png | |||||
