Is all the necessary hardware on board current tables to make them Alexa compatible or would a hardware upgrade be required?

Unrelated question. Is there a way to turn off the led lights on the board?

We are working on the API, making it easier to use Alexa with Sisyphus. But given current circumstances, it's on hold. As for the LEDs on he circuit boards, there's no way to turn them off with current software. We do have plans to offer a bottom cover, but again, on hold at present. You can cover the LEDs with black electrical tape as a temporary solution.

A bottom cover would be a great option.. cat likes to stalk the arm underneath.. worried one day a well placed swat of the paw will either damage the mechanics.. or pin an arm..

in the mean time.. going to cut one our from the cardboard of the box.. using the trim ring as a template..

Yes, we've had some requests for it, and it is planned (but implementation is now on hold until things normalize). In the meantime, cardboard will work. A nicer solution is corrugated plastic (Coroplast and Plaskolite, carried at Home Depot).

One very simple solution, if you have some sewing skills, is to fashion a spandex fabric covering.  Cut a circle about 15-20% smaller than the table diameter, hem the edges, and then make around 16 button holes around the circumference, evenly spaced.  Then get adhesive hooks and attach them to the inner surface of the metal skirt, near the bottom edge, using the arms holding the sisbot as a guide for even spacing.  This makes a cover that is washable and breathable, as well as nondestructive to the table.  I can't promise that a cat won't try to snag its claws on it, though.
