| Thanks for the info Micah, As it turns out I did not need the external antenna after all. See attached the pictures of what the table looks like after some small modifications :). It almost looks like my coffee table and the Sisyphus metal coffee table were made to be together. If anyone is interested in the coffee table it's called "Bernhardt Decorage Square Cocktail Table" Attachment : IMG_0300.jpeg Attachment : IMG_0301.jpeg Attachment : IMG_0303.jpeg Attachment : IMG_0304.jpeg Attachment : IMG_0305.jpeg Attachment : IMG_0263.jpg | |||||
| RE: Sisbot API | 10 Relevance | 6 years ago | matt2 | Other Development | |
| Holger, A couple things with your request: The address you wrote above has a misspelling of "/3002" in it (it should have a colon before 3002). The correct address would either be "http://XX.XX.XX.XX/sisbot/play" or "http://XX.XX.XX.XX:3002/sisbot/play". The port number is optional as the proxy server will direct it to the right place. The other important difference is the Api expects a POST request. You would need to use a form, Ajax, or some other means (Postman, as Joel notes above) besides the browser address bar. There is no authentication needed. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need more assistance. Matt | |||||
| RE: Sisbot API | 9 Relevance | 6 years ago | Holger Runkewitz | Other Development | |
| Hi Matt, thanks for your reply. I WAs offline for a while, sorry. I see the colon issue, and I used Postman for generating the right request. Unfortunately sisbot responds with error, pls. see screenshot. I tried with and w/o port parameter, same response. Attachment : Screenshot-2020-06-14-17.38.33.png | |||||
| Sisbot API | 10 Relevance | 8 years ago | safepassagedesign | Other Development | |
| I'll pencil in some of the Api's as I research them. Please let me know if any of these appear to be in error. Joel For all of these URLs, I'm omitting the DNS or IP address prefix which would look something like this 192.168.1.13/sisbot/play. Also note that the proxy at 80 for forward over to the actual sisbot listener at 3002. Without proxy this would look like 192.168.1.13:3002/sisbot/play You MUST replace the 192.168.1.13 with whatever IP or DNS you can reach your table at on your home router. You CAN keep the :3002 port or use with no port specifier on the default port 80 for each one of the URL.s Here's the link to the docs. | |||||
| 3D Printed Glass Bumper Clips | 9 Relevance | 3 years ago | Jeff V | Table Customization | |
| ... coming up, I designed a 3D-printable clip to hold aftermarket bumpers in place along the rim. I'm using the "50 pcs 8.5mm X 2.5mm special shape" bumpers from this $9 318 piece set. These bumpers are $9 for 50 ($0.17 each, or $0.03 each if you include the value of the other bumpers included). It takes about 18 minutes to print 6 of them on my printer. I printed them in black PLA-CF. They will be a little tight when you re-insert the wood ring. I WAs just able to press-fit them with the thinner side between the inner surface of the rim and the wood ring. I ... | |||||

| Thanks for the screenshot, I WAs able to duplicate your issue here after comparing to my own setup. The table is expecting form data (even if empty), which can be included in the Body tab. I've attached a screenshot of what the value should be in this case. I'll update the server to accept it without specific data in the future, but for now just include the empty "data" object. | Hello Sisyphus Community! I recently WAs lucky enough to acquire a metal Sisyphus side table second hand from someone who used to work for the company. I've really been enjoying exploring how the table and interface work. However, the table has a few issues that I'm hoping someone could help me troubleshoot to get it working properly. The first issue is that both of the white/RGB light strips aren't working properly under normal operating conditions. The linked picture shows how the lights typically look when the table is running: At first I thought it w ... | |||||

Eventually i had the belt disconnected from the theta motor and it still kept stalling. It makes sense that it WAs the theta motor stalling, as the ball would just move slowly outwards while the theta motor WAs stalled and the rho motor i guess WAs attempting to match the rotation it assumed the theta motor WAs doing to keep rho constant/moving at the correct speed for the pattern. Next i took the motor out and dis ... | |||||

| @jschoenly - You can freely access our Community's Webcenter (repo where track-creators can store their work and share with others if they wish). You may already be familiar with the options for track-creation, but if not, we have a tutorial series. Bruce | |||||
| RE: "Away" timing functions | 4 Relevance | 1 year ago | matt2 | Table Customization | |
| Under-the-hood, it is using cron, but the current app/api setup doesn't allow more than the options we make available through the app. Considering the thread you put this on though, I do have a working beta of the Matter (smart home) software. I personally only have Apple Home for testing, but it should be interoperable on all the major platforms. This would be the best WAy to really customize your schedule to fit any need. | |||||
| Dynamic Tracks Question | 4 Relevance | 6 years ago | birchsport | Community Tracks | |
| A friend mentioned an idea that I think is great, but not sure exactly how to pull it off yet or visualize it. The idea is to incorporate the weather forecast. Maybe have it write out the temp 'HI:57/LO: 42' 'Partly Cloudy', and draw some clouds...or something like that...have a set of prebuilt patterns to piece together to make some renderings. Just thinking out loud...seems like it would be doable. Is there a rest (or other) Api for directly uploading a file to the table and triggering it to render? I have seen some projects with table control as the aim, so seems plausible. Thoughts? Birch | |||||
| RE: Sandify to Sisyphus App ?Best Ragrdas | 6 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | App Usage | |
| To do it locally (just on your computer and Sis): Create your track in Sandify. Under "Machine" tab, choose Polar, and the start and endpoint (must be center or perimeter). Hit the Export button - choose Theta Rho format, give it a name, don't add start or end code - hit download. Connect the computer you downloaded the track to, to your Sis using a web browser. From the Sis app running on your browser, go to Settings / Advanced / Upload file(s). Upload file to your table, and be sure to hit "save" once you see the thumbnail of the track show up. To share a track publicly on our "Community" repo - create an account on Webcenter. From there you can upload your tracks, choose whether each is public or not. All public tracks are vetted by our staff to assure they do not violate our terms of service (nothing overtly offensive, etc...). Once approved, shared tracks will be available using the Community tab on our app. | |||||
| Favicon and Pinned Tab | 6 Relevance | 5 years ago | Mark Roland | App Updates | |
| I like pinning tabs in Safari and Chrome and it's bothered me that the Sisyphus web site didn't have a nice icon, so I added it myself. To do this I ssh'd into the sisbot and moved 3 logo files into ~/pi/sisbot-server/siscloud/img and edited the HTML at ~/sisyphus/pi/sisbot-server/siscloud/index.html. HTML: <link Rel="shortcut icon" href="img/favicon.ico" /><link Rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="180x180" href="img/apple-touch-icon.png"><link Rel="mask-icon" href="img/safari-pinned.svg" color="#000000"> Obviously, do this at your own risk.
