| RE: Approved vs Unapproved Tracks | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | DougO | Community Tracks | |
| A little more Info to help focus your search: Some of the tracks I submitted were just the reverse of other tracks, which I thought maybe were not approved for that fact (ex. DougO-Asym1Rev). I submitted them that WAy thinking that for tracks that look very different depending on direction you would be able to view a thumbnail of the track forward and reverse on the app and also insert them more easily in playlists. Two tracks (DougO-AsymBasket and DougO-Pangolin) didn't have that problem though, so I'm not sure what would have been wrong with them. | |||||

| RE: Lost Connectivity after the Iphone app flashed table | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | matt2 | Connectivity | |
| Great Info. By the IP address I can tell that it is having issues with getting the wifi network set up on the OS level. While your table is running, manually hold the button on the Reset Button for 3 seconds. This FAQ page has an image of where to find the button: Don't follow the directions on that page, as that will do a hard reset removing your old settings/tracks/etc. The red light should flash 3 times when successful. After this, the correct Sisyphus-Jeff hotspot network should appear. If that doesn't work, then we may need to escalate the recovery process to the article above. Matt | |||||
| RE: Table is getting "stuck" periodically | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | mjends | Table Usage | |
| I have a variation of this problem -- but appears to be stuck in a cycle that repeats endlessly every 2 min. Brand new table, just unboxed, happens upon startup. I sent in a service request, but WAnted to also post here in case anyone else has seen this and has a fix / suggestions. I've been through the support posts on table clicking -- arm and slide seem fine and are moving smoothly. More Info below if you'd like to read on... | RE: Erase track special case problems | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | john.hughan | Table Usage | |
| ... for two reasons. First, the Erase track will only play center-out that WAy; it would really be nice to be able to specifically choose to play a track in reverse.... And more annoyingly, if I WAit for the Erase track to complete by arriving at Rho 1, then even if I select another single track that BEGINS at Rho 1, the table homes to Rho 0 before going back to Rho 1 to begin the track, leaving me with 2 connection lines before the track begins. I work in IT, so I understand that bugs happen, and I'm used to testing, troubleshooting, and narrowing down prob ... | |||||

| jonj-kay, I noticed the release that WAs published on Test Flight and the one I intended for the group to have our not the same. I am WAiting for apple to review the version I would like you to use. (which has log-in credential persistence) and some other features. Look for 1.8.56 in the next day or so. Sorry for pushing the old version and thanks for the Info! Curtis | |||||

| RE: Ultra-fine, ultra-white glass bead sand for pendulums | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | EveryoneIsAnotherYou | Table Customization | |
| Thank you for the feedback! There is some interesting Info in your reply. I’m going to try the fine white pendulum glass sand I posted above, as I suspect it’s the same as what I’ve seen in gallery pendulums. (I’ll try it with the bearing on a dinner plate to start before I rush to vacuum out the original sand.) This sand is bright white from what I recall, and very fine texture but not quite dust-like. I will post pictures and my feedback if I decide to use it in the table. | |||||

| @asjolund - This is the right place to post! Thanks for relay this Info - we learn far faster from our growing user experience. I'm not familiar with the Qi charger specs, but will pass this along to our embedded systems engineer to see whether this is a limitation of the Raspberry Pi, our control board (which powers the Pi), or Qi chargers in general. | Lost Connectivity after flashing new firmware. | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | richard_saada | Connectivity | |
| ... I can find for identifying what table you have. Is my original kickstarter table a 36" coffee table? A 36" Servo? I guessed 36" coffee table, but who knows? This would be a useful Info to have on the reflash page for when it tells you to set the config file. So I got the chip back in, and rebooted, connected to the table's wifi, did the advanced config to set the table type, and set the Information to connect to my home WIFI. The machine restarted, and now I'm stuck. The app can't find it while scanning. My Unifi router shows it's connected and give me ... | |||||

On the firmware, we do not auto update. However, a couple possible explanations occurred to me. When loading the app it always checks for an update and prompts you to update. Is it possible this WAs clicked through without fully reading? Are there any others in your residence connecting to the table that may have triggered an update inadvertently or otherwise? I should be replacing it by this weekend (emailed results of troubleshooting Sunday night, Monday got an email that new Sisbot WAs being sent, Tuesday got the tracking Info, today Thursday it's supposed to arrive, very nice!) and I presume the new one will come with a new SD card installed. | Thanks for the Info Bruce. It is a bit confusing on the user end. Should we always apply a firmware update if it shows available (even or odd numbered)? I don’t think I am on any beta testing program. Right now my app states 1.10.1 is available, my table still at 1.8. Are there any release notes posted for what this contains? | |||||
| RE: Sisyphus Programming Guide - So far | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | ddkengr | Community Tracks | |
| Thanks for the Info... I have also found that the best WAy to convert xy to polar is by determining the offset angle between point 1, and point 2, and then adding (or subtracting that angle to the current theta angle (of point 1) This is good because it does not matter "where" the points are, and theta can be anything to start. (so if you start with a erase track that ends at theta 450, the code will continue from there at 450ish) Programatically it goes like this (btw concept taken from sisbot code models.js "angleBetween") Where X1Y1 is point ... | |||||
