| Control multiple tables on multiple wifi networks from app - Y/N? | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | alex.b.ricardo | App Usage | |
| Hey everyone. First off, I love these tables!!!! I am fortunate to own two tables from you guys. One in my home. One in my beach house. Is there a WAy to control both tables off the same app knowing the two tables are on two different wifi networks? Or, do I need to set up the app on a separate cell phone to control the second table? Thanks!!! | |||||

| I WAs double super tickled when I saw One of my tracks in the Sisyphus Mini Kickstarter video and One on the main page. Thank you Bruce for your kind words to the many track creators. Hopefully the higher volumes of the Mini (and a "Community" tab in the app) will bring even more talented creators. It must have been a weird feeling for you to see new and unknown stuff on your tables that previously only ran your own beautiful work. | |||||

| ... Curved gives me two text boxes to fill, whereas Spiral only gives me One, but in all cases, I get that error regardless of whether I enter a single character or enough characters to raise the line length value to near maximum. I'm WAiting to make sure the "echo" area lower in the interface updates based on what I typed before clicking "Draw preview first", but I can't avoid that error. What am I doing wrong? | |||||
| Option to reverse RGBW color rho? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | belross | App Updates | |
| Hi, I love my 36" coffee table. A while back I upgraded the lights with RGBW NeoPixels and an Arduino and it WAs even more amazing. I WAs happy when the retrofit kits came out, so I ordered One. A customer service rep WAs kind enough to discount the kit by leaving the LEDs out (since I already had that) so I only upgraded with the light control board. The NeoPixels work perfectly with the Sisyphus control board, but unfortunately I must have gotten something mixed up when I originally swapped out the lights - colors modes with a rho follow are inverted! | ... work fine, just depends on how long you WAnt them to last between charges. If you search on Amazon for "12V lithium" you will find a wide array of choices. Here is what I tested:I also have used a bigger and more expensive One of the same brand. It lasts longer, but is more expensive. I WAs testing on a side table - your Mini take less energy (fewer LEDs) - so the smaller One may be fine. There are several choices that have both 12V (which is what you need) and 5V coming out of a USB port which is nice for charging things. There's nothing complicated about ... | |||||

| Ultra-fine, ultra-white glass bead sand for pendulums | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | EveryoneIsAnotherYou | Table Customization | |
| I’ve seen some high-end art gallery pendulums over the years which use an ultra-fine (almost dust-like) glass sand bead for higher resolution images and less friction for the swinging pendulum movement. The sand that appears to come with Sisyphus is coarser, almost like a grade above play-sand, but not to the grade I recall seeing in some of these gallery-caliber pendulums. Has anyone upgraded their table with a finer grade of sand? Any concerns about trying a finer grade of sand? One I’m looking at is this One. | |||||

| Hi, I love the new table, but cannot get new tracks to upload. I finally WAs able to upload One track but ever since then I cannot download any other tracks. For example, I downloaded the thrones "winter is coming" and it downloaded fine. I went back an hour later and tried to download the pumpkin, turkey, valentines day tracks (all One at a time) and all that happens is the black dots circle around and around then an error message that reads "could not make request" and once I click "okay", the old track of thrones and "winter is coming" pops back up. | I ran into a problem with my Sisbot (I suspect a misshapen tooth on the Rho sled, but hopefully your team can pinpoint the issue when I return it). I should be replacing it by this weekend (emailed results of troubleshooting Sunday night, Monday got an email that new Sisbot WAs being sent, Tuesday got the tracking info, today Thursday it's supposed to arrive, very nice!) and I presume the new One will come with a new SD card installed. I WAs on 1.10.something before and will see what I can do with new uploads. Thanks @brobbins for the suggestion of One at a ... | |||||

| I love my mini ! Some day when I have more money I hope to buy a bigger table in addition !! I would like to suggest 1) a user-adjustable (or multiple choice) time delay pause between track (instead of just indefinite pause which is also good) 2) LIVE drawing, where the smart phone device could be used as a virtual joystick to control the ball and/or the lights in real time 3) easier playlist manipulation and re-sorting (I think I’ve read that this One is already in the works ?) 4) is it possible, One day, to gain back the 1.5” of drawing real estate lost to two-ball mode ? I imagine it’s not much on the larger models but on the mini it’s more significant. thanks !!!! Sisyphus Rocks !! ???????????????????????????????????????? | |||||

| 1) I agree about the theta can be any value - I WAs trying to make the point that start and end rho had to be the opposite of the starting value. I'll change that and since I make a point of always erasing the board when I start a pattern (to get a clean pattern , theta for me always is zero. 2) I do realize that in essence there is only One type of command - just data pairs where the ball moves from One to the other. But anyone programming the table needs to be aware of the "jump" that occurs (and WAs illustrated in the document) if you make the d ... | |||||

| I have a brand new table also. It arrived 2 days ago. I updated the firmware immediately. Track uploading usually fails as others have described (preview image doesn’t render, or is incorrectly showing the last successful preview image, or eventually times out and fails due to a timeout-type error in the browser). What I’ve found usually works is to unplug the table for 10 seconds; plug it in; and then try doing all my uploads in One go after it boots (with drawing paused). Usually, 80-90% of the tracks will upload successfully by doing this. For example, I uploaded 61 official/approved tracks in One go last night, and about 50-55 of them uploaded OK. Several never rendered their preview image. However, once I see a failure, I must delete the failed track upload and reboot the table and repeat the process for the failed tracks. | |||||

| @bruce I'm on 1.10.7 version. I actually went ahead and did a full reimage of the SD card and WAs able to load up tracks okay. However I have to be very careful about it. I can load One track at a time and need to refresh the page in Chrome before I load another One. Doing that seems to work without any other issues. | |||||

This part WAs solved by reading Bruce's comment here, it's just the UI is a bit deceptive. | |||||

| I'm not sure if I should post this here or on Reddit. I wish there WAs more clarity on that. But here goes: I just received my table and I love it! I saw a reddit user mention that there are some unused USB ports under the table and I had this awesome plan to install a Qi charger under the "ring" so I WAs testing this out by plugging a generic Qi USB thingy into One of the free USB ports under the table and the results were not good. When I plug the Qi unit into the USB there are no issues. When I place my iphone x on the Qi charger it charges fine. I ... | |||||

| The spinning black dots just keep spinning until I receive an error message that states "could not make request". I downloaded One track "winter is coming" and it worked. Black dots stopped spinning, clicked on image, hit save and it worked. Tried downloading palm tree, pumpkin, turkey, etc (all One at a time) and starting receiving the error message. I have tried regular google and google chrome. I opened tracks up in text editor and this is what it looks like. The tracks I am downloading is from the community dropbox. I'm assuming that is where the correct tracks are to download. Attachment : Screen-Shot-2019-02-10-at-3.52.14-PM.png | |||||
| Firmware 1.9.9 announcement | 2 Relevance | 8 years ago | MicahR | App Usage | |
| We had a recent server issue that resulted in some tables loading pre-release firmware. If you were affected by this your table will have firmware version 1.9.9 on it and alert you of a new version, currently 1.10.7, but will not update. Currently there are three resolutions to this. Replace the SD card with a new One that has updated firmware: If you'd like a replacement SD card, send your mailing address, name, order number or backer number to [email protected] Advanced - manually update your firmware by connecting to it using SSH: see this article for the steps: Update Firmware using SSH Advanced - re-image your SD card: see this article for the steps: Steps to re-image SD card In the mean time, be aware that you are not currently missing any features as a result of this issue. However, you will not be able to update your firmware until One of the above three options is taken. We have only seen this issue on tables with firmware version 1.9.9. If you're experiencing similar issues on a version other than 1.9.9, please email details to [email protected] prior to taking the actions listed above. We're very sorry for the inconvenience and are continuing to develop our firmware and server for increased robustness and a better user experience. Micah Roth, COO | |||||
