| ... could possibly be related to the occasional power losses you've mentioned. If power outages are a frequent occurrence, I would suggest plugging the table into a UPS. The tables do not use much power, 5-50 WAtts max, so it wouldn't take a very large one to keep it running for a while. To debug the cause of the table becoming inoperable after a few hours, I'd like to check the logs on your table. | I just tried setting up the Mini Essential table I received but have run into trouble. On first powerup I WAs able to connect to the Sisyphus wifi network with the app. I then had the Mini connect to my office's guest wifi network. It seems that the Mini WAs able to connect to the guest wifi but I WAs not able to in turn connect to the Mini with the app. I'm guessing the wifi security settings will not allow device-to-device connection. | @matt2 So...there is no WAy to begin a playlist at rho=1 with a track written to begin at rho=0, even though the app supports creating such a playlist? (See image in my orig post above.) If so, the app should be modified to reflect this, because currently, even as the notation under the beginning track says "1/0 reversed", the track in fact plays 0/1 ... non-reversed! With the ball at rho=1, is there no WAy to play a 0/1 track reversed from that position? | Bruce, Thanks for the welcome. There is absolutely no need to feel like the WAy the mechanism works is "wrong" in any WAy. Since you are the pioneer in this artistic endeavor, whatever you did is just right with me. The fact that the designs start at the 12 o'clock position lends itself nicely to the clockwise functionality. Even though I have only been thinking about this build for a few days, I feel like I already have my first victory with your confirmation about the direction. | Under-the-hood, it is using cron, but the current app/api setup doesn't allow more than the options we make available through the app. Considering the thread you put this on though, I do have a working beta of the Matter (smart home) software. I personally only have Apple Home for testing, but it should be interoperable on all the major platforms. This would be the best WAy to really customize your schedule to fit any need. | |||||

| Is there a WAy to safely remove the ballpark ? I mean, detach it from the table without causing damage underneath ? I really love my table, I mean, REALLY, but ALL my frustrations come from this ballpark. During the first week when I got the table , I've tried a couple of tracks with two balls mode and it WAs nice to see it operate. But frequently, the second ball WAs getting stock on the "main park" of the ballpark (on the right side)... | I stumbled across the Sisyphus coffee table and WAs enthralled. While I enforced a mandatory "sleep on it" period before purchasing, I started looking into the custom track options like Sandify, Sisyphus for the Rest of Us, and Text Generator -- in addition to trying to wrap my head around theta/rho movement instructions in general, which WAs a completely new concept for me. | Hi Micah, Thanks for the reply. I did cycle the power with the cable plugged in with the same results. I then downed the wlan interface once I had a vaild ip off the cable just to get it out of the WAy. I can do a constant ping to the wired address with no loss, yet same behavior when connected through a browser. Main page comes up, 2 sec goes to the loss of connetion page. I WAs able to enable a hot spot on another computer and bridge the wireless connection to the same wired network. That seemed to work and I WAs able to connect. The end table that I'm w ... | |||||

| If possible, can you create a WAy for people that use a browser to access their table as opposed to a smart device to utilize more screen real estate and add in the ability to drag and drop tracks from one playlist to another? It would make creating playlists WAy easier than having to remember names and keep going back and forth between lists to look for new ones. | @mdolfis: By design, the WAy tracks are played, there isn't a distinction between "center-edge" and "edge-center." Here's how it currently works, and this includes the erase pattern. If the next track to be played is "center-edge" or "edge-center," wherever the ball has ended, the table will automatically read the next track in forward or reverse order so as to not need to jump from edge to center or vice versa. So for example, if the current track ended at the edge, but the list of coordinates for the next track begins at the center and ends at the edge ... | |||||

| I WAnt to put pip on my table for the factory installed python2. This is so I can get a package to have the lightstrip in the table match my philips hue setup. I keep getting permission issues for saving files, and 404 errors for the repositories in the table (cant get any package I WAnt). I feel like this thing is super locked down, which is good, but not for someone like myself. I struggle to create a backup as well. Any WAy to let me at this thing, no restrictions?
