| Uploaded tracks through webcenter but not showing in Community | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | heropup | Community Tracks | |
| So I'm a bit confused...I uploaded six tracks through the webcenter on desktop, four of which are public, but I can't see any of them when I search through the Community tab on the phone app or the web app. I can't find myself in the artist List, and under My Tracks, it's just blank. Maybe I Did something wrong? I see them in the webcenter, but nowhere else. I can still upload them Directly to my table via the Advanced functionality and they play fine that WAy but sharing is caring! | |||||
| RE: Wired port | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | MicahR | Connectivity | |
| Hey Patrick, I don't have a published List of current firmware but I can tell you the current version is 1.10.62. This is the same across all Sisyphus tables/Minis. Your side table is reporting a very old version that you can't upgrade from. To get it updated you'll need to re-image the SD card. See this article: Steps to re-image your SD card. Make sure to complete all steps as your lights will not turn on initially. You'll need to select the configuration for your table. Once this is done we'll need start over with the wired connection. | RE: Any way to back up track and playlist libraries? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | john.hughan | Table Usage | |
| @heropup -- Thanks indeed for the background on Dropbox vs. Community! @Bruce, I realized that resetting my table would not delete the tracks beyond any possibility of retrieval, but I just wondered if there WAs a WAy to back up the specific List of tracks that I had chosen to download to my table so that I could quickly get those (and only those) back onto my table. It sounds like the workaround you provided will be perfect for that and the playlists, but going to that location returned a basic text page saying that it could not GET that location. Is SSH ... | |||||

| Hi Micah, Thanks for the reply. I Did cycle the power with the cable plugged in with the same results. I then downed the wlan interface once I had a vaild ip off the cable just to get it out of the WAy. I can do a constant ping to the wired address with no loss, yet same behavior when connected through a browser. Main page comes up, 2 sec goes to the loss of connetion page. I WAs able to enable a hot spot on another computer and bridge the wireless connection to the same wired network. That seemed to work and I WAs able to connect. The end table that I'm w ... | |||||
| Track organization. | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | burningamd | App Usage | |
| I'm quickly finding a real desire for better organization both of the tracks loaded on the table and the community tracks. The ability to sort loaded tracks by name would be nice, and the ability to organize into folders as well (like by type). Though you can approximate folders by making playlists (and just using them to create new playlists from not actually playing). This doesn't work all that well though since they stay in the track List (making it harder to organize others). Also the ability to order playlists after creation would also be great. Currently it seems the order is as added and that's it. Additionally, the community tracks, endlessly scrolling isn't great. Categorizing would be nice. Artist/popular is a good start, but maybe some broad categories like drawings (for things like a turtle), "swirls/spirals" (for nearly full table designs like peoni), "geometric" (for designs that don't take full table like circam 2s, sisvort) . Those are terrible names but you get the idea. | |||||

| RE: IP Address Seems Off | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Connectivity | |
| 192.168.42.1 is the default IP address of the table when it is in "hotspot" mode - meaning, putting out its own WiFi signal (and NOT connected to your home WiFi router). Not sure why it Didn't reconnect to your home WiFi - it should have remembered your credentials from having been connected before - but you should be able to reconnect it to your home WiFi by: Put your phone back onto the Sisyphus WiFi connect to your table go to Settings>Advanced>Connect to WiFi network choose your home WiFi and enter your password If you entered the correct password, the table will connect to your home WiFi network, and you will no longer find the "Sisyphus" network showing up on your phone's List of available networks. Put your phone back onto your home WiFi (it will likely do so automatically after the Sisyphus WiFi Disappears). Connect to your table, and you will then see that the IP address of your table has changed, since it is now assigned by your router. | |||||

| Sorry for the delay - instead of WAiting for my web-devs to add *.lsp to the List of attachments, I just changed the extension (change back to .lsp after downloading). Since I wrote these routines back in ~2000 using much older ACAD versions, and I WAs very into debugging the conversion, there are two routines involved and some couple caveats: 1- This is a two step process: First, create a circle with center at 0,0 and radius of 1 (this is the just to remind you of the boundary of your drawing canvas). | RE: Control multiple tables on multiple wifi networks from app - Y/N? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | App Usage | |
| Sorry - I guess we haven't made this feature very easy to findg since not that many people had more than one Sisyphus (until now). Go to Settings>Advanced> Logout from Sisyphus>OK. This should then cause it to scan for all Sisyphi on your network, and present you with a dropdown List - which should show both of yours and allow you to choose. | |||||
| RE: Dual Ball Help | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | MicahR | App Usage | |
| Hi, Just to clarify, attach and detach are paths found in the library. They should be at the bottom of the List unless you've added paths from community. You can do a single play of attach and then start a playlist. The table would stay in 2 ball mode until detach played or power-cycled. If you're still having Difficulty please send an email to [email protected] and we'll get you squared away. Micah | |||||

| ... the app these details are in the respective app store. Can I opt not to update? For the app this is a setting on your phone and not anything we can control. On the firmware, we do not auto update. However, a couple possible explanations occurred to me. When loading the app it always checks for an update and prompts you to update. Is it possible this WAs clicked through without fully reading? Are there any others in your residence connecting to the table that may have triggered an update inadvertently or otherwise? | RE: Connect to WiFi that requires Username and Password | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | MicahR | Connectivity | |
| Okay, this is a Different scenario than I read initially, but now it's clear to me. The router you're using has a captive portal login. There are a couple obstacles to using a Sisyphus table on this type of network: Our app does not support establishing this type of connection. Captive portals frequently have client isolation. So even if the device Did connect the mobile app would not be able to communicate with it. If client isolation is not enforced it would be accessible to all others on the network. Many organizations using a captive portal would consider this as not an approved device for connecting to their network. Currently the only workaround is to have the network admin white List the device by mac address and ensure client isolation is not enforced. Thanks | |||||
| RE: creating new tracks | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | Bruce | Community Tracks | |
| Thanks again @dithermaster - another excellent outlining of the current state of things. From memory, I know you can put comments at the start of the track - just use the '#' character at the start of the line. I also comments can be placed among the List of vertices, but not 100% sure without testing it. We do plan to allow track speed to be changed and stipulated in a playlist - and eventually, I hope to have it as part of the thr file itself, akin to the 'F' parameter in a line of G-code, which changes the feedrate. | |||||

| Table not going to centre or to full radius | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | jonj.kay | Table Usage | |
| Hi guys, the following has been happening regularly over the last couple of weeks; on any given path the ball heads to the centre but then continues to try to operate even when it is there, also, the ball does not go to the full extent (Radius=1). a hard reset (turn off and on again) does rectify the issue for a a couple of days, then I spot it is repeating the issue. the below link shows both issues (running a plough in play List with pause at end of track). any ideas - software / hardware? cheers j | |||||

| Hi @jeffeb3! This is awesome - nice work! If/when you do get around to polar output, I'd be glad to help if you have any questions. Wish List: remember to keep accumulating Theta; 2Pi radians (360 degrees) is not equal to 0, though it's in the same theta axis position please force scaling so everything fits in a circle of radius 1 output for "thr" format is each vertex: (float)theta radians <space>(float)rho Dist from ctr (0-1)<new line> please force first and last vertex to have rho = 0 or 1 Looking forward to it!! | |||||
| RE: Connect to WiFi that requires Username and Password | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | ohlrogge | Connectivity | |
| Thanks for the response. I have my table in my office at work and so I don't have the ability to make these changes at the router level. Are there any other options? Note: I'm not sure on the details of what constitutes a "hidden" network. The WiFi networks at my office are visible to anyone, they just require both a username and password in order to connect to. I have an iPhone with a mobile hotspot. I tried using that as well. But, oddly, the table doesn't find the mobile hotspot on the List of networks available even when, for instance, my laptop computer does. Do you have any suggestions along the lines of how to enable the table to connect to a mobile hotspot on an iPhone? Thanks | |||||
| Connect to WiFi that requires Username and Password | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | ohlrogge | Connectivity | |
| I just received a new 36" Sisyphus table as a gift. I have it plugged in and I am able to connect to the Sisyphus network via my phone. But, when I try to instruct the table to connect to my WiFi network, I am unable to do so. In particular, I am able to identify my WiFi network from the List of available options on the Sisyphus App. But, when I select one of the options and enter my password, it fails to connect. My best guess is that this is because my WiFi network requires both a username and a password. Since there is no option to supply the username on the Sisyphus app prompt, the attempt to connect to the WiFi network fails. How can I rectify this so that I can connect my new table to Wifi? Thanks | |||||

| Just tried one more track and I'm getting the same errors as before. Track uploads okay but after ~30-60 seconds of WAtching the spinning wheel it gives an error like "Could not process the request". I still saved out the track (palm2 from markyland) and on my desktop I can see it in the List with the generic Sisyphus logo. In the iOS app instead of the track name I just see {{= model.data.name }} and when I try to select that I get a JavaScript type error in index.html.
