| RE: Cannot connect mini after most recent update | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | DougO | Connectivity | |
| That's what I am trying to do except on the phone app when I scan for tables it never finds mine, even though I am connected to the table's wifi. | |||||

| Yes, the same happened to me. I had to re-enter the network credentials. To do this change your wifi connection on your mobile device to the Sisyphus table. Then go into the mobile app and set the table to my home's wifi. That resolved the issue. | |||||
| RE: Line to Center of Table after Erase Track Finishes | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Shannon | Table Usage | |
| Thank you for the track! I have also learned that if you are using a playlist, the table is smart enough to recognize where the last track stopped (outside or in the middle) and will launch the next track from that position (if the track is capable from being played in reverse). The standard erase track is capable of starting from the middle and working out, or from the outside working to the middle. However, if you launch the track on its own (outside of a playlist), it will always home the table and start from the middle... | |||||

| Here is a track I made for just such an occasion. It draws 100 inward spirals from the outside to center. Named Erase.thr, so the firmware in your table will draw it faster. Attachment : Erase.thr | |||||

| @pawliger - Thanks for the detailed report. I'm going to pass this along to Micah, who is most knowledgeable about connectivity issues. On occasion, I have run into table-name aliasing failing as well (with direct IP address working). Re-installing Bonjour print Services and rebooting has fixed it for me (using a Win machine). | ... "Scanning for nearby tables... Connecting..." but nothing happens from there no matter how long I WAit or times I refresh the page. If instead I connect to the local IP address, as in 192.168.86.35:3001 I am able to then proceed as I used to and operate the table as expected. Of course the address may change over time, so would prefer to connect via local hostname. Interestingly, the contents of the page served by accessing both by hostname and by IP are identical. The subresources like CSS and JS files work from both pages - I can both access and s ... | |||||

| ... to “Pause between tracks / restart After 1Hr” so we can enjoy the finished look, but we spend a lot of time staring at erasers (especially when there’s a double erase to prevent a connection line). Speaking of, this might be a bit more playlist code, but it would also be lovely if reversible erasers in a playlist could go ahead and be smart enough to inject a connection line before themselves if needed, to prevent a connection line After. This WAy there’s never a need for a double erase. | |||||
| New User - Table Troubleshooting | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | alex.hintz17 | Table Usage | |
| Hello Sisyphus Community! I recently WAs lucky enough to acquire a metal Sisyphus side table second hand from someone who used to work for the company. I've really been enjoying exploring how the table and interface work. However, the table has a few issues that I'm hoping someone could help me troubleshoot to get it working properly. The first issue is that both of the white/RGB light strips aren't working properly under normal operating conditions. The linked picture shows how the lights typically look when the table is running: At first I thought it w ... | |||||
| Sand: a slow fluid? | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | adambrower | Other Development | |
| After noticing that the berm WAs consistently higher and thicker on one side of the table, despite the addition of sand to the "low" side, I finally broke out the spirit level. After leveling the table, I find the berm is now uniform throughout. Conclusion: the sand behaves like an extremely viscous fluid. Maybe @Bruce knew this. Not me! | |||||

| Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks!... | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | adambrower | Beta releases and bugs | |
| Nearly every time I play a single track, it finishes, and then repeats. There seems to be no WAy to remedy this behavior. I have cleared the queue. I have checked "Pause between tracks". I have held my breath until my face turns blue. All to no avail. Right now, Mr Rambonnet's JJR-Sandify160 is playing. Queued After that is JJR-Sandify169...but first, of course (after carving up the beautiful doily with THE FERSHLUGGINER CONNECTING LINE back to rho=0) JJR-Sandify160 is REPLAYING. Cue "Arghh". Maybe JJR-Sandify169 will play next. I hope so. Maybe it will pl ... | |||||

I've only shut my table down maybe 8-10 times, but I've always WAited at least 30 seconds to pull the plug After performing the shutdown in the app, and it seems that the table most often fails to come up properly again if it's been off for several days rather than only a few hours. I'm not sure whether that's truly a relevant factor or how/why it would be, but then again I also don't know why a Linux-based system that WAs properly shut down wouldn't come back in general. Great to hear a backup and restore function is on the WAy. I w ...

So I did what I always did: hard power cycled it by just unplugging it. This time it came up, but when I opened the app, I saw a notice I'd never seen before, saying the table had been improperly shut down, that a file error had been fixed, and that the table may have been reset to factory defaults as part of that fix -- which I discovered it had been. SERIOUSLY!? "Hey, your table wo ...
| RE: Feature requests | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | massrich | App Updates | |
| Agreed! I use some tracks as a base before the next track, or to plow sand back to the center, so I’m not concerned about precision on those tracks, and would use faster speeds. For more intricate patterns, slower speed with more detail is better. In addition to the ability to change the speed of individual tracks in a playlist, I’d also like the ability to select whether to pause After each track. If I ran an E10, an attach or detach, or an Apache1 in reverse to push sand into the center, I would deselect the contemplation pause After those tracks. Possibly, for the attach and detach, program it to immediately begin the next track always. When editing a playlist, and selecting the add a track option, could the new track be inserted into the playlist at the point where you are in the list? Current behavior adds the new track to the bottom of the list, then you need to drag the track into the desired position in the playlist. What function does the “favorite” button have? Can “favorited” tracks be added to the left side of the edit playlist screen so they could be inserted easily? If so, I’d recommend that the attach and detach tracks default to “favorite” for easy insertion. If this is already a feature, please accept my apology for not having tested it! Do the tracks have the ability to attach multiple images in the library? I’d appreciate seeing images of the track in standard and reversed mode (for those that can be reversed), and with multi-ball (standard and reversed). Finally, I have a suggestion for an edge-plowing track. The magnet can go outside of rho 1, as it does during the park and attach routines. Can a track be created to use the second ball to run consecutive reversing “c” patterns ending at each edge of the garage from the extreme reach of the 2nd magnet arm to clear the edges of the sand ridge back inside of the rho=1 position? Thank you! | |||||
