| This happens a lot on power loss. The table just stops working and I have to hard reset it. I'm looking for an alternate, easier solution. So when I power it up there's a quick spin of blue light from the RGB, the red light is on and the green light is flashing periodically on the board. I can see the table connected to my access Point but going to its IP it wont communicate. Other than that the LEDs stay off and there's no ball movement. The only WAy I have found in the past to get it working again is a hard reset. | |||||

| I think I know what this one is, there WAs a bug in a past release that would cause this behavior. Tracks that have more Points than will appear on a table are truncated and resaved. But, the bug WAs: when resaving, it saved an extra vert in it that is dynamically added to ensure the ball starts at the Point it should (at the center, or at the periphery). The fix is that you should delete and redownload the track in your picture (C WArp 3B, I believe). All of the original tracks are available in the Community section, Sisyphus Originals. | If i run the erase track and the ball stops in the middle, i usually pick a track that looks like it will start from the middle. Its disappointing when the ball travels across the table to the edge to start the design...leaving the ugly path on the final design. The same thing happens if the ball is stopped on the edge..if i WAnt it to start making the design on the edge, sometimes it will go to the center. How or can i choose the balls starting Point for a design?? | |||||

Unitizing the Rho value makes all tracks universal for any size table. All moves are from Point to Point, but instead of being linear as they would be in a Cartesian machine, they produce spiral arcs in this system. | I forgot to update this. But two techs from Sisyphus reached out to me and even after spending a couple of hours trying to diagnose and manually fix the problem in a remote controlled SSH session to the table, there WAsn't any change, and finally they got to the Point where they said they weren't even sure what to investigate next as a possible underlying cause. So we ended up backing up the folder on the table that contained my tracks and playlists, then reimaging the SD card using the instructions on the Sisyphus website. | ... fine, when I unplug it and plug it back in, the lights flash on the table twice and then it remains totally unresponsive again. I can't get the app to find it when I re-scan either. WAs hoping for help getting it back going again. I'm not very tech savy either, so I may need WAlking through it step by step. Many thanks, Matt | |||||

| Force Orientation fixes the direction (up?) that the track draws. Normally, when one track ends the theta (rotation) continues relative to where the last one stopped. This forces the ball to start at a zero Point. Example: the snowboarder will always be drawn facing the same direction if Force Orientation is selected for it. | |||||

| ... coming up, I designed a 3D-printable clip to hold aftermarket bumpers in place along the rim. I'm using the "50 pcs 8.5mm X 2.5mm special shape" bumpers from this $9 318 piece Set. These bumpers are $9 for 50 ($0.17 each, or $0.03 each if you include the value of the other bumpers included). It takes about 18 minutes to print 6 of them on my printer. I printed them in black PLA-CF. They will be a little tight when you re-insert the wood ring. The other thing to be aware of is that tracks can be Set to "not reversible". Normally, "01" and "10" tracks are automatically reversed as needed to avoid connector lines. But not if the track is Set to non-reversible. You can change the Setting by clicking on a track (in the library) and viewing its Settings. | Fair Point. But it's still just electrons (slight mass), purposed toward moving photons (massless). Certainly not not "real" in the particle physics sense. And certainly capable of moving humans to feel emotions. But not tangible. That's my bias. | |||||

| Thanks for jumping in with the very nice explanation @heropup! We're currently working on making it far easier to determine "center edge" (a.k.a. "0 1") track types and the ability to determine track reversibility - should be released very soon. One question: Why did you ad the third Point? WAs that so the inward erase would not just follow exactly the path (in reverse) of the outward erase? | |||||
