| RE: Information about Rho Start/Endion ! | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | Bruce | App Usage | |
| ... sand. You can force a 01 to only play in the 0 to 1 direction by making it not reversible. We don't yet have a WAy to force it to play in the 1 to 0 direction (though you can reverse a 01 track using a utility like Sandify, and save it as a 10 track, and then make that not reversible when you load it onto your Sisyphus). | |||||
| Information about Rho Start/Endion ! | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | purchase | App Usage | |
| Hi,If the track you WAnt to play is in a plalist you can see by modifing the playlist the information about "Rho Start/End" ...... BUT if the track you WAnt to play is only in the Track list then you can't see this information. And by the WAy, for "0/1 Reversible" track it could be useful to decide if you WAnt to stard by the center OR by the perimeter Best Regards Bernard | |||||

| RE: 2-ball kit settings - 36" RGBW Table | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Table Customization | |
| Fora metal coffee table (36" diameter), the configuration setting is RGBW 2-ball (NOT servo). The radius should be set to 13.5. The purpose of the ball park piece is to provide a WAy to purposely cleave the tail ball from the tail magnet (which is called "parking"). This happens when you play the special track "detach" and allows you to go from 2-ball play to 1-ball. The ball stays parked until you play "attach". The placement of the ball park is important - follow the directions carefully. | |||||

| Dear all Probably this question has already been asked, but I didn't find anything about it. So please excuse me, if I do a mistake as a newbie here. My Metal Side Table is on the WAy. I experienced, that it isn't the best idea to put a coffee on a piano. Please don't ask why… Is it possible, to put liquids on Sisyphus tables? Sure, one is able to put any beer or so on it. But what happens if something is spillt? Is it a problem regarding sand or electronics? Thank you for your experience or a link, where my question is answered. Regards, Phil ... | |||||

| ... to “Pause between tracks / restart after 1Hr” so we can enjoy the finished look, but we spend a lot of time staring at erasers (especially when there’s a double erase to prevent a connection line). Speaking of, this might be a bit more playlist code, but it would also be lovely if reversible erasers in a playlist could go ahead and be smart enough to inject a connection line before themselves if needed, to prevent a connection line after. This WAy there’s never a need for a double erase. | |||||

We can't provide a quick diagnosis or fix without further info. 2 - from your picture, your coffee table "thinks" it's an end table (smaller field). This should be easy to fix by changing the table's configuration. First, make sure your table is running the latest firmware by doing a firmware update (in settings). | A nice addition would be to have somewhere an "erase button" (linked to the default erase track") in the home menu. This WAy, it would avoid to each time, having to browse the whole library to retreive the "erase track". Would be nice to users like me, who most of the time, choose the drawing to do each time, instead of starting a playlist.
| Clicking/thunking noise sounds like skipping teeth on the gears when near the center | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | finntoogood | Table Usage | |
| Today my table started making multiple clicking noises a second when its near the center, these are loud thunks that sound like skipping gears. I believe it is skipping gears since the lights get out of sync with the ball when these happen (lights move past the ball). It is more frequent in the center but still happens half WAy out. Seems to happen more on the South East-East side (Mini's cable is North) of the table. I have taken off the top and cleaned both the arms, the plates and the underside but its still present | |||||
| RE: Question ref. track start points | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Patti | Community Tracks | |
| An easy WAy to force this would be to create a track called something like "Top" that just read "0 1" and WAs set to force orientation, yes? Assuming two tracks back-to-back that were both 11 a sequence of Top, Track1, Top, Track2 should always produce predictable results, yes? | |||||
| RE: Maintenance track wish | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| @dithermaster Well, we don't "recommend" such a method - but if you're not too boisterous, it shouldn't cause harm. And I certainly have noted this on clumsy accidental occasions. However, I don't think constant vibration will achieve a level field. When I tried it (way long ago), it resulted in a fractal landscape of branching ravines. Actually pretty cool - but that's different kinetic piece altogether 🙂 | |||||

But if it is consistent, then try to calibrate the home position to true center via the following procedure: First, make sure your firmware is up to date (several improvements to making homing more accurate have evolved over time). Reboot, and after the ball has homed (stopped moving at the center), pause your Sis (if it is starting a track automatically). Go to S ...
| Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks! Repeating tracks!... | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | adambrower | Beta releases and bugs | |
| Nearly every time I play a single track, it finishes, and then repeats. There seems to be no WAy to remedy this behavior. I have cleared the queue. I have checked "Pause between tracks". I have held my breath until my face turns blue. All to no avail. Right now, Mr Rambonnet's JJR-Sandify160 is playing. Queued after that is JJR-Sandify169...but first, of course (after carving up the beautiful doily with THE FERSHLUGGINER CONNECTING LINE back to rho=0) JJR-Sandify160 is REPLAYING. Cue "Arghh". | Frustration! I have created a simple two track playlist. The first track WAs written to begin at rho = 1 and end at rho = 0. The second track, (from Mr Rambonnet) WAs written to begin at rho = 0 and end at 1. In the playlist, though, both tracks are supposed to run in reverse. However, when I start the playlist with the ball at the center, the table first moves the ball to the perimeter, ignoring my instructions, as well as the notations in the app. (See attached). Why is this so difficult? Why can we not have a command which simply states "play this tra ... | |||||
| Comet Primary Light Width Control | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | SteveTheEvans | Other Development | |
| The Comet lighting mode is nice, but due to the very wide spread of primary LEDs, and actual comet look is not what we get. Having a number of LEDs (or arc size in degrees) control for the primary color would get a real comet look when set to a single LED. BTW, is there a better WAy/place to bring up new features? | |||||

| This happens a lot on power loss. The table just stops working and I have to hard reset it. I'm looking for an alternate, easier solution. So when I power it up there's a quick spin of blue light from the RGB, the red light is on and the green light is flashing periodically on the board. I can see the table connected to my access point but going to its IP it wont communicate. Other than that the LEDs stay off and there's no ball movement. The only WAy I have found in the past to get it working again is a hard reset. | |||||
| Complex pattern creation | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | adambrower | Community Tracks | |
| I've been experimenting with Sandify, and it's very rewarding as a quick on-ramp to pattern design. However, I'm interested in complex artworks such as @bruce's brilliant FoxWarp2, and there is no immediately obvious WAy to emulate a design like FoxWarp2 with the Sandify scripts (although maybe I just haven't spent enough time with them). Can @bruce tell us what platform(s) or methods he uses to create his works? I can imagine, for instance, a spreadsheet that employs functions that will spit out a list of x/y coordinates. | |||||
