| ... table or Mini. Recall that the tail-ball is always located at the head-ball's Theta + Pi, and 1 - head-ball's Rho. From there you should be able to figure out the analogous head ball parking tracks. However - we are not recommending doing so. I WAs initially excited when I discovered the ability to add 2-ball function, and the WAy it can produce very nice patterns with some algorithmic tracks. And the ball park is designed symmetrically because head-ball parking WAs planned. But we've recently stopped shipping with 2-ball mode, and are moving away from of ... | |||||
| RE: Firmware update 1.10.78 -> 1.10.83 fails | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | matt2 | App Updates | |
| Kristoffer, you are doing nothing wrong. In recent updates we changed the method of firmware updates to be less reliant on git working correctly. With this change, there are values that get passed to the server to request the right version of the update. I suspect your table is in One of the states where it does not send the value needed to receive the beta version back. So, just for this One time, I suggest updating manually (command line). And after that it should update in the future as intended. Navigate to ~/sisbot-server/sisbot and run the following commands: git reset --hardgit pull origin staging Then go to ~/sisbot-server/sisproxy and run: sudo ./restart.sh Try running the firmware update via the app again after those commands. If you have any issues with these, please let me know. | |||||

| Track corruption on restore -- please add Backup/Restore | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | john.hughan | Table Usage | |
| I recently had to reimage my table's SD card to get my coffee table running properly after it had been shut down for several days while WAiting for a replacement LED strip that I installed after the original strip failed. After reimaging the SD card, I followed instructions I had previously received from Sisyphus Support for restoring tracks and playlists. I had previously backed up "/home/pi/sisbot-server/sisbot/content", and to restore them, I SSH'd to the table, ran "sudo killall node", and then used WinSCP (an SFTP client) to delete the existing files ... | |||||

| Mine has done this a few time, notably with some tracks I've designed myself which used to play fine. For me, it's two arcs, One in, One out. It appears to be a new bug. I recently talked to HQ about it and they are aware of it, and it's already fixed in their internal beta version. When that releases, the bug will be fixed. To get it to stop looping, I went to Library, Playlists, Default Playlist, and hit the Shuffle button. A power cycle does not fix it because it tries to continue from where it WAs, and just ends up doing the same arc loop. | |||||

| Thanks so much..Would appreciate it if someone could just call me; you guys should have my cell phone on file. Maybe One solution would be to just swap out the wifi module with a new One as suggested in the support section. Upgrade wireless adapter to Edimax AC600 Question is - how do I exactly go about doing this? Do I also need to buy a USB hub? At any rate - if someone can call me - we can WAlk thru it. | |||||

| Thanks! I work in IT, and One frustration that's been consistent across several roles I've served in that field has been problem reports like, "It's not working." Sometimes even the problematic behavior isn't described, never mind what causes it. While I understand that the average user won't always know the value of providing a proper problem report or even what should go into One, that experience has caused me to try to write the kind of problem reports for others that I wish I received myself, i.e. Ones that narrow down the problem condition as precisely as possible and that include clear steps that reliably reproduce the problem. I've found that if you can tell a technician/developer exactly how to trigger the problem rather than giving them a vague report and expecting them to spend time experimenting in the hopes of maybe stumbling on the issue, then the problem is more likely to be investigated and fixed more quickly -- as seems to have occurred here! 🙂 | |||||

| The app updates have been terrific, especially being able to download tracks from the app. Now everyone can easily do it. I also love listing the drawing time. If there is company coming over, I will choose a design whose write speed matches the socializing time. I don't WAnt visitors fascinated with the table but the track taking longer than their visit to complete. Now I can plan One or more tracks to fill that time. Steps to reproduce: Upload a track to the table called "MoveOut", which contains only two lines, One moving the ball to Rho 0 and the next moving it to Rho 1, i.e.: 0 0 0 1 From Webcenter, download dbullardWebcenter's track called "clockworkSwirl5WithClipping" and create a new playlist containing only this track. Enable "Pause between tracks". Play MoveOut as a single track and let it complete, with the ball stopped at Rho 1. Put the table to s ... | |||||

I have been so happy with the elegant simplicity of the table I am not sure about doing the upgrade on it. I might get One of the new mini tables. I love showing the table to friends and family. | Update : Just discovered that in the saved playlist, you can add and delete tracks. It has a nifty feature where you can increase/reduce the repetion of the tracks with a +/- button. For eg, you do not have to add the erase track repeatedly, instead increase the count by tapping on the ’+’ button. Solves a huge discomfort of editing tracks.

Currently, I can only add One track at a time, and after that the playlist opens automatically. I then have to go back to the tracks list and add a single track to a playlist, and it again opens the playlist... So and so forth. It's a real bother when you are dealing with a whole lot of tracks. Maybe we need a code to go along with the track name, that specifies that the track is Reversible/Non-reversible, 10,01,00 or 11. T ...

| RE: Mini surging/accelerating | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | dithermaster | Table Usage | |
| There is One of the twisty tracks (sorry, don't know which One) that really shows this surging behavior. It seems to be related to a combination of radial "velocity zones" and also some combination of rho versus theta movement as the ball curves through the pattern. Maybe having a formula for rho-based velocity adjustment, or at least more zones, would reduce the sudden speed changes. | |||||

| Glad you like 'em! No need to do anything special - just make sure your phone is on the WiFi that the table is connected to. Since you have One table in each place - and I'm assuming you have got each table on its respective WiFi - as long as your phone auto-connects to the trusted WiFi it recognizes, when you open the app it will scan for a Sisyphus and only find the One on that WiFi. If you ever move them so they're in the same place (and WiFi), then when it scans, it will find both and you will have to choose, within the app, which you WAnt to connect to. | |||||
