| 1) option to finish the current artwork before going to sleep/nightmode so the artwork does not end midway when the table sleeps 2) the size for artwork for rounded tables is not in proportion for xyla. Although it has been somewhat fixed by the zoom option, would like to request to select which Area of the artwork it will zoom at and how much % of zoom it can cover the artwork (can zoom out/zoom in or drag to select which Area of artwork to zoom) 3) for those zoomed out artworks with white/empty backgrounds, request to automatically add a layer on the white/blank background of the artworks beneath the artwork so that there will be lesser need to run an erase before starting the artwork 4) option to choose which erase artwork before running the artwork in the playlist. And a seperate speed setting to do the erase and artwork. all in all, great product for my living room | |||||

| ... causes of interference in your environment. Common reasons the table may struggle to maintain a connection are increased interference in a densely populated Area, many 2.4 GHz devices in the Area or distance from the router. The included radio is not particularly powerful so it's somewhat susceptible to the above issues. Solutions include changing router location, utilizing a 5 GHz band (our more recent tables support 5 GHz) or adding a more powerful WiFi adapter to the table. If the issue is that channel 13 needs to be enabled there are two WAys to do ... | |||||
| Accidentally deleted the 'Erase' track from the Tracks list... | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Shannon | App Usage | |
| Hello. A new Mini owner here just starting to use the table. Absolutely love playing with it! Last night I erased the table and WAs preparing to select another track when I started the Erase track again by mistake. I pressed the 3 dots to the right and saw the trash can icon. I pressed it thinking it would remove the track from the current queue. Instead, the track WAs deleted from the Tracks list. Erase is still present in one of the Playlists. However, I could not find a WAy to get the track listed back under the Tracks Area. I also tried going to ... | |||||

| Thank you very much. I WAs contacted by Sisyphus support who stated they will most likely put the track in the Community Area very soon. Meanwhile, for anyone else who needs it, I have attached the track here. Attachment : erase.thr | |||||

| Now serving! I aim to use these two servos to control dual sided ball parks. One per side of the table for a total of 4 ball locations. If I can get the balls out of the play Area, I should be able to have more room for cleanup tracks that go outside Rho 1. Tomorrow is testing day for the servos and optical end stop limit switches. | ... or correct: All track files (filename.thr), must start with their Rho value either 0 or 1, and end with Rho either 0 or 1 - end and start Rho can be the same. I chose to start with this limitation so that tracks could easily be linked together without distracting traces connecting a new track's start to the last track's end. Therefore, there are four track "flavors": 00, 01, 10, 11. If a track finishes playing at Rho = 1, and the next track's start Rho is 0, the program will try to reverse the track - which will works for 01 and 10 tracks. If reversing d ... | |||||

| RE: Great tool to smooth the sand | 2 Relevance | 7 years ago | dbullard | Table Customization | |
| You use it on the sand by pushing it so the curled edge goes over the sand like a sled, and the wide, flat Area presses the sand flat in a nice, wide, even path. The utensil is normally used when you're chopping up food, you hold the curl and scoop up the chopped bits with the flat side. | |||||

| RE: Drinks on the table | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | [email protected] | Table Usage | |
| Bruce, I bought my table in April of 2022. I DO love it! However, my glass (coffee table) sits on 4 small pea-sized bumps, and the rest of the glass floats (I will try to attach a photo), but I can slip a piece of paper easily under the glass and into the sand Area, which is how I would think a spill would flow. Is there an improvement/addition I can buy that sets down a gasket around the whole circumference? (See pic, below) There isn’t much of a gap (maybe 1/16”?), but definitely air space, not even close to a seal of any kind! Attachment : IMG_2613.jpeg | |||||
| Sisyphus Update 1.12.25 | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | matt2 | App Updates | |
| Version 1.12.25 is out, with updates to the apps (1.12.36) as well. I'm particularly happy with the new LED pattern. Ripples is a bit like WAtching a pond where your ball is a pond-skater. When the ball changes directions or hits the edge, it makes a WAve across the sand field. Smoother tracks have a smoother surface, busy tracks make for WAvy pond. Let me know what you think of it: Which tracks look best with it? | Any way to back up track and playlist libraries? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | john.hughan | Table Usage | |
| A career in IT has instilled a habit of trying to back up configurations whenever possible. In case I ever need to perform a factory restore, is there a WAy to back up and restore any additional tracks I've loaded into the table, as well as the playlists I've created with them? On a somewhat related note, I noticed that the tracks available in the Sisyphus public Dropbox linked by Bruce in this thread don't seem to match the tracks available in the Community section of the app. For example, the tracks in the "andre.tissot" and "Anthony Navarro" folders of ... | |||||

| Parking hits the spot! I have decided that this will be a truly mixed materials project. After a while thinking of a good WAy to make the acrylic sides of the drawing Area with nice even bends, I thought it would be a good time to explore different materials. Aluminum angle would be easy to snip and bend every 5° or so, but it would be a pain to isolate the LEDs from it. I found some PVC edge trim at the local hardware store that is 1-1/8" tall. A bit shorter than I WAnted, but it will work out. I took my parking "valet" with me, and lo and behold, it fits ... | |||||
| RE: One vs Two balls on 3' wooden table | 2 Relevance | 8 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| @Don, "Can anyone point me to some reading material that might help me progress into a more complex track making game?" Welcome to my world! First off - although I'm pretty sure when it comes to sand plotting, I have more Area under the curve than most - I'm no authority. But with regard to compexity - I would divide it, for now, into those tracks that are generated algorithmically, and those not. So the pumpkin track, and any tracks that you recognize (including text), are non-algorithmic. All the others -'crop circles', spikey or swirly/loopy spirals, and fractals - are created via multilayered recipes (instructions) -aka algorithms. Both branches are infinite design spaces. Markyland created Sisyphus For The Rest Of Us so that people could more easily explore non-alg space. If you're interested in algorithmic pattern space - start googling. All you need to do is place the connect-the-dots in the right order :). | |||||
| Outer two inches of patterns not visible | 2 Relevance | 8 years ago | hdubose1 | Table Usage | |
| The circumference of the drawable Area on the table’s “canvas” is larger than the circumference of the inner-hole of the top ring. As a result, the outer 1-2 inches of many patterns are not visible unless I look at the table up-close and at an awkward viewing angle. When I compare images of the end table used for your Kickstarter campaign with images of your actual production tables, I can see that the width of the top ring has been increased and that the circumference of the inner hole has been decreased. My gut reaction is that the larger inner hole in the top rings from your pre-production units would have been preferable because it would not have resulted in the outside edges of patterns being obscured. But I'm sure that there must be some good reasons for this that I'm not considering. Could you please explain what the design considerations were that led you to make this change? Thanks. | |||||
