| while I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of my 3' Metal table early next year, I noticed a thread that mentioned that options like the Metal table covers and parking garage that may become available. is there a timeline for when these options might become available for purchase? additionally, it would be great of sisyphus industries offered the mechanism used in their wooden tables as an upgrade option for the 3' Metal tables to achieve the faster drawing 🙂 | |||||

| Hi gang. I’m a newbie and am very excited about the anticipated arrival of the Metal coffee table that I just recently ordered. Q for you, as I’m new. I’ve seen multiple references to the two-ball + RGB upgrade, and now am not sure exactly what I might be getting when the table arrives. If I ordered the RGB Metal coffee table, does it also come with the two-ball capability (ball park + extra arm + extra ball) or is that an additional customization that is purchased separately? | |||||
| RE: Control multiple tables on multiple wifi networks from app - Y/N? | 4 Relevance | 6 years ago | jmongold | App Usage | |
| Hi Bruce... so had a Metal and table, recognized and controlled by iOS app (latest version). Received mini and followed exact same procedure to connect it to my same WiFi network. Worked perfectly. HOWEVER, the Metal table... while working is not recognized by the app s it has been. Go back and find a Sisyphus WiFi network and it only find the new mini. I’ve tried turning off, then on the larger table and no luck to connect to it. I’ve searched throughout the app and can’t find anyplace it would show a second table (in my case, the first table) or allow me to connect to another table. Do you have more detailed instructions? Perhaps with pictures? Goal, Operate “JimsMiniSisyphus” and “JimsEndTableSisyphus” on the same WiFi network through my iOS app. | |||||
| Suggestion for User Manual or Troubleshooting Support | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | heropup | Table Usage | |
| I recently received a new 3-foot table from the April preorder, and it is a much more impressive experience than the end table! That said, I discovered that the Sisbot moved during shipping, an issue I did not discover until I tried running the table and found that the Sisbot arm WAs striking the gear on the off-axis motor because there WAs not enough clearance. More precisely, when I ran the Erase pattern, I found that the table worked fine for about two-thirds of the radius, but when it reached a particular angle and distance away from the origin, sudden ... | |||||
| More Sandify and XYLA table questions | 2 Relevance | 1 year ago | jrambonnet | Community Tracks | |
| Hi Matt! I'm also trying to create tracks for the XYLA Metal table on the Sandify platform and am running into an issue where the design doesn't WAnt to go from edge to edge of the table. I put in your dimensions of 914x406 but it still doesn't seem to work. As you can see, I'm just trying out a simple pattern to get it to fill in the entire table. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!Jacques Attachment : xyla.jpg | |||||
| RE: Sandify dimensions for Xyla table? | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | matt2 | Community Tracks | |
| Oh, and for the right dimensions: 914mm x 406mm for Metal table, 1245mm x 533mm for hardwood. Or any numbers where the aspect ratio fits those dimensions (roughly 2.25:1). The track will automatically be scaled to fit within the bounds no matter which table you have. | |||||

| @jillbolshawgmail-com Sorry , I should have mentioned that the full-seal gasket WAs a design modification we made last year. It accompanied another design change: replacing the separate LED shade ring for a black-out silk screened directly on the outer area of the glass. The gasket doesn't fit correctly with the shade ring in place. I would emphasize -- although spilled liquids that make it to the edge of glass can wick around the edge, but generally do not go beyond the top of the powder coated Metal frame. As long as you clean the spill reasonably soon aft ... | |||||
| WiFi connection strength | 4 Relevance | 8 years ago | rberteig | Connectivity | |
| I have a 3 foot table, with occasional connection "quirks". I'm trying to identify the source of the issue, both to make my family happier and to help others do the same. I think that part of my problem is that the antenna is on the RPi board itself. I'm reasonably sure this is an omni-directional chip antenna, but it is going to be influenced by the structure of the table, and especially by any Metal parts. It likely does not help that the direct line of sight from my table's RPi to the nearest access point passes directly through the Metal band around the rim of the table. (The part that supports the outside veneer band.) I know the top most veneer ring is glued to plexiglass, and unless someone decided to aluminize it, that, the wood, and the glue would be nearly transparent to 2.4 GHz. The RPi is attached to the underside of the plate that holds the sisbot's motors and the rest of the electronics. I suspect from photographs of the sisbot removed from the table that plate is aluminum. If so, that would likely be a reflector at 2.4 GHz, and limit the field of view of the antenna by pointing the signal generally towards the floor. What is the sand tray made of? I know it can't be anything ferromagnetic or the whole thing wouldn't work at all. My WiFi is provided by a collection of Ubiquity Unifi AP and AP-AC-Lite access points. I can always add one more if I can find the right place to put it... Any thoughts? | |||||

It brings joy into our home and it WAs well worth the WAit. About a year ago I wrote you a letter as there were some minor delays in the huge undertaking your team pulled off. As far as I can tell you took the proper balance of time and expedience to fulfill this massively successful Kickstarter campaign. Well done, and now I don’t WAnt to refer my friends.... I experienced, that it isn't the best idea to put a coffee on a piano. Please don't ask why… Is it possible, to put liquids on Sisyphus tables? Sure, one is able to put any beer or so on it. But what happens if something is spillt? Is it a problem regarding sand or electronics? Thank you for your experience or a link, where my question is answered. Regards, Phil ... | |||||
| 3D Printed Glass Bumper Clips | 2 Relevance | 3 years ago | Jeff V | Table Customization | |
| ... coming up, I designed a 3D-printable clip to hold aftermarket bumpers in place along the rim. I'm using the "50 pcs 8.5mm X 2.5mm special shape" bumpers from this $9 318 piece set. These bumpers are $9 for 50 ($0.17 each, or $0.03 each if you include the value of the other bumpers included). It takes about 18 minutes to print 6 of them on my printer. I printed them in black PLA-CF. They will be a little tight when you re-insert the wood ring. I WAs just able to press-fit them with the thinner side between the inner surface of the rim and the wood ring. I ... | |||||

| Hello Sisyphus Community! I recently WAs lucky enough to acquire a Metal Sisyphus side table second hand from someone who used to work for the company. I've really been enjoying exploring how the table and interface work. However, the table has a few issues that I'm hoping someone could help me troubleshoot to get it working properly. The first issue is that both of the white/RGB light strips aren't working properly under normal operating conditions. The linked picture shows how the lights typically look when the table is running: At first I thought it w ... | |||||
