We love this table, but have some concerns before placing our Order, and hoping you experienced users (or support folks) can answer: 1. Is the only power source for the table a cord to a WAll socket, or is the table "chargeable"? Seems having a cord run from table to WAll would be at best inconvenient and at worst a tripping hazzard. No cords in any of the photos. 2. The site has instructions for adding oil to the mechanism, removing the sand, etc. How often are such maintenance tasks required? Thank you!

I purchased a cord protector like I had for other items that run a cord a distance from a WAll outlet for the Sisyphus but the ferromagnet in the middle has to be forced into the protector, and leaves a hump, which I don't expect to be a problem, but you get my point. I think so. I haven't seen the mini without LEDs, but as long as the outside WAll is tall enough you can use an LED strip with adhesive backing, and tuck the wires and control module somewhere. I'd suggest getting one you can set the colors on, because if you get red only you might get bored (unless you really like red!) On my 2' side table I replaced the original white LED strip with an RGBW addressable one and ran color patterns on it using an Arduino microcontroller. I thought I would express my delight with my 3 footer in a traditional geek WAy: Ask for more features! Naturally, my real motive is to spark discussion of WAys to enhance it without breaking what makes it so amazing. Here's a couple of things that have been rattling around my head. ... WAll. However, this results in the figurative patterns rendering at an awkward angle. Is there any WAy to adjust the angle / orientation for these patterns? While exploring the app on my web browser, I've seen a section with commands for "advanced movement". Are these commands what I'm looking for?

I used node-red running on a RasPi to connect my Sisyphus to HomeKit. I can see the tables state and change brightness and speed and send it into sleep mode. It's all mapped as "lights" in homekit, but it works, see picture. It uses the HomeKit-bridged-nodes (). The only WAy to have absolute control of vertex Order is to create the track by "hand" (draw it using vector software), or to use an algorithmic approach to making the points that creates them in a specific Order.

1.12.04 update is out. With it, on the homepage, you can click on "Connections" in the Next Up heading to view the track flow and information on their start/end (rho) values. The table will do its best to play smoothly, but depending on the Order and track values, it is not always possible. The queue will let you rearrange the track Order yourself if you WAnt to fix the upcoming Order manually.

Thanks @dithermaster for doing such a great job answering @lilia 's query. We have a very good track record with our "Ssbot" mechanism being reliable and quiet - but on rare occasions we've had reports of different types of sound. I have found that if I put the table to sleep while the table is paused, WAking the table on its own does not cause the lights to come back on. The ball must move first in Order for that to happen. Unfortunately, this means that if I have "Pause after each track" enabled and put the table to sleep at the end of a track, I can't WAke it up with lighting to see the completed track without moving the ball first. the custom Order screen just shows the overall diameter but what are the actual working sizes for the sisyphus inside the ring ? is the mini same as the metal side table ? i wonder if we can just buy the sispyhus without the actual furniture portion of it. i already have a coffee table (glass) with a top glass and a bottom glass surface so i WAnted the largest possible size i can stick inside it without a base.

	I think so. I haven't seen the mini without LEDs, but as long as the outside WAll is tall enough you can use an LED strip with adhesive backing, and tuck the wires and control module somewhere. I'd suggest getting one you can set the colors on, because if you get red only you might get bored (unless you really like red!) On my 2' side table I replaced the original white LED strip with an RGBW addressable one and ran color patterns on it using an Arduino microcontroller. 	... complex problem (how do you make a single, continuous path through a large number of unordered path segments that touch each other). The only WAy to have absolute control of vertex Order is to create the track by "hand" (draw it using vector software), or to use an algorithmic approach to making the points that creates them in a specific Order.

	1.12.04 update is out. With it, on the homepage, you can click on "Connections" in the Next Up heading to view the track flow and information on their start/end (rho) values. The table will do its best to play smoothly, but depending on the Order and track values, it is not always possible. The queue will let you rearrange the track Order yourself if you WAnt to fix the upcoming Order manually.

	Thanks @dithermaster for doing such a great job answering @lilia 's query. We have a very good track record with our "Ssbot" mechanism being reliable and quiet - but on rare occasions we've had reports of different types of sound. The "pinion lubrication" tutorial WAs made to fix one of those if it arises. For the majority of users, no routine maintenance has been needed. As for running a full size table using a 12V battery, we have done some trials using Lithium packs sold on Amazon. The majority of the power consumed is by the LED lighting. My personal fee ...

We added one of those to a recliner that we didn't WAnt a cord running to, and it only needs to be charged once every few weeks. But it's as big as a kid's shoe. 	I have found that if I put the table to sleep while the table is paused, WAking the table on its own does not cause the lights to come back on. The ball must move first in Order for that to happen. Unfortunately, this means that if I have "Pause after each track" enabled and put the table to sleep at the end of a track, I can't WAke it up with lighting to see the completed track without moving the ball first. 	the custom Order screen just shows the overall diameter but what are the actual working sizes for the sisyphus inside the ring ? is the mini same as the metal side table ? i wonder if we can just buy the sispyhus without the actual furniture portion of it. i already have a coffee table (glass) with a top glass and a bottom glass surface so i WAnted the largest possible size i can stick inside it without a base.
