I'm back in earnest on this project. I'm thinking for a mini embedded into the top of a side-table-high marble column, my best bet may be to Order the MINI ES and strip of the legs and wood?

The update shouldn't cause this to recur, but I'll dig into this. Could you share the Order of tracks on the playlist this is happening on?

@patti Well, I had just Ordered these on amazon because it WAs so frustrating trying to find 400 grade ball bears, I thought, "What the heck for $10?" I canceled the Order but it might be too late. Where the heck is a good place to get an assortment of balls that will work? I WAnt to try smaller ones than are offered on the sisyphus-industries.com site. Home Depot doesn't say what grade the balls are. And all the industrial B2B sites deal in quantity.

Sisyphus Industries has replied about power banks before but I don't have the links handy (search this forum and the reddit). It's very possible, and they have tried it, but the runtime is not long (on the Order or hours or a day, depending on the size of the power bank). You just need a power bank with a voltage and amperage level that matches the power brick that comes with the mini.

I have found that if I put the table to sleep while the table is paused, WAking the table on its own does not cause the lights to come back on. The ball must move first in Order for that to happen. Unfortunately, this Means that if I have "Pause after each track" enabled and put the table to sleep at the end of a track, I can't WAke it up with lighting to see the completed track without moving the ball first. I'm quickly finding a real desire for better organization both of the tracks loaded on the table and the community tracks. The ability to sort loaded tracks by name would be nice, and the ability to organize into folders as well (like by type). Though you can approximate folders by making playlists (and just using them to create new playlists from not actually playing). This doesn't work all that well though since they stay in the track list (making it harder to organize others). Also the ability to Order playlists after creation would also be great. Currently it seems the Order is as added and that's it. Additionally, the community tracks, endlessly scrolling isn't great. Categorizing would be nice. Artist/popular is a good start, but maybe some broad categories like drawings (for things like a turtle), "swirls/spirals" (for Nearly full table designs like peoni), "geometric" (for designs that don't take full table like circam 2s, sisvort) . Those are terrible names but you get the idea.

Low, I think the issue is that you need to touch on the "Edit" button (square w/ pencil) in the upper-right hand corner first. On the edit page is where the tracks can be reorganized. This edit page also shows you where connection lines would need to be added between tracks if played in sequential Order. Hope that helps.

Hello, i have placed a Order for a coffee table and am excited to start using it when it arrives. Is there a WAy to build playlist, explore tracks, or learn the ui of the app before my table arrives? I downloaded the app and it appears that without connecting to a device that the app has a roadblock. Also if the app is a dead end until connected, is there a web based WAy to do build Playlist or view available tracks? Ah, that "connections". It refers to the connecting path that is required between the end of one track in a playlist, to the beginning of the next track. A brief "Connections 101": All tracks start and end at either the center (Rho = 0) or the edge (Rho = 1). There are four possibilities: "00", "01", "10", and "11" - Meaning a track starts at the center and ends at the center; a track starts at the center and ends at the edge; etc. The app will try to make tracks in a playlist start the next tract without any connecting path. This is easy with 01 tracks and 10 tracks, because they can be reversed if needed. But reversing 00 and 11 tracks doesn't help. So, if it's important to you that your playlists have no connecting paths (which look like a single arc between the edge and the center), then the app will show you if there's any connections, and you can manually change the Order of tracks to get rid of connections. There's more - (e.g. you can set 01 and 10 tracks to be non-reversible), but that's for another lesson :).

Great update, I appreciate that it makes the overall player UI a bit more intuitive. I couldn't see one either. I could only see the option to delete the track entirely? It would be great if we could simply remove one from "up next" to clean up the queue. The new option isn't to "run Erase before every track," it's a checkbox that can applied on a per-track basis. Which is helpful for the designs on some tracks, which look best against an erased backdrop, like words, or drawings, of faces or objects, etc. I'm very glad to see this added, as previously we'd have to manually insert an "Erase" track beforehand in Order to achieve the same. That would be super cool and very much appreciated too.

Would it be possible to add an ambient light sensor to the raspberry board of the Mini in Order to have an auto brightness like the tables? Up to now I am setting the brightness over the API and an external light sensor, however something included would be more fail safe. If it is not supported by the software, would it be possible to get access to the pi user account to have a script running to check a photo resistor connected to one of the GPIs?

The tracks that appear on the home screen are the current one (top), and those that will follow, in Order below it. There is no limit (that I know of) for number of tracks in a playlist - but the "tracks coming up list" only shows a certain number. When the repeat toggle is on, the track list wraps around to the beginning of the playlist. When you toggle it off, the "wrapped around" tracks (past the end of the playlist) will disappear, since they are no longer coming up.
