I'll give that a look, it's only certain tracks though. Maybe the acceleration in those in particular are selectively causing slipping. But I suspect this is not the case because the track is otherwise OK and it seems very deliberately going off.
For instance if you look at the photo of the triangular track, the track is "printing" fine, but as the triangle gets bigger it starts ramming the ball into the Park, eventually it over travels so much it knocks the ball off.
It homes in the center fine and prints 45 other tracks perfectly.
Is there a WAy to safely remove the ballpark ? I mean, detach it from the table without causing damage underneath ? I really love my table, I mean, REALLY, but ALL my frustrations come from this ballpark.
During the first week when I got the table , I've tried a couple of tracks with two balls mode and it WAs nice to see it operate. But frequently, the second ball WAs getting stock on the "main Park" of the ballpark (on the right side)... ... on your Sisyphus, but it will definitely cause problems if someone tries it on a different size Sisyphus. (The reason is that all rho values are scaled by the table's sand field radius. But the distance beyond the normal plottable field and the ball Park is not proportional to table size). If you'd like to post pics of your custom erase track in action, or post snippets of the track and explain how it works, for those who WAnt to create their own, I'm fine with that. But we do not approve tracks for download on our Community or forum that cannot be played ...
Yes, I have. I've been thinking about implementing head-ball Parking for a while. This would mean all tracks would have 3 possible playback modes:
head-ball alone (normal 1-ball operation)
2-ball mode
tail-ball alone
The main concerns are reliability of adding another Parking / unparking routine on the other side of the acrylic ball-park, plus creating an interface that makes choosing between these easy and not a confusing mess. If you have programing ability, it is easy to create a track that emulates tail-ball only, using the head-ball - just take an existing THR file and replace every Theta with Theta + Pi, and every Rho with 1-Rho. These tracks will only look good for algorithmic stuff - this "inside-out" transformation is not kind to representational content!
A little more info to help focus your search:
Some of the tracks I submitted were just the reverse of other tracks, which I thought maybe were not approved for that fact (ex. DougO-Asym1Rev). I submitted them that WAy thinking that for tracks that look very different depending on direction you would be able to View a thumbnail of the track forward and reverse on the app and also insert them more easily in playlists.
Two tracks (DougO-AsymBasket and DougO-Pangolin) didn't have that problem though, so I'm not sure what would have been wrong with them.

I'm seeing the same issue. I haven't created any of my own tracks yet but instead am trying to load the community tracks. The first few went fine, but now I just get the Sisyphus logo in the web View. I've even had multiple tracks show up okay in the webview, but when I try to look at it in the app it just shows an error.
I even went so far as reimaging the SD card today and once I did that I WAs able to get a few more tracks to load, but now it's back to just showing the Sisyphus logo again.
Any ideas on what might be happening?
And last, but not least, is a View from the far side of the table right at the table's edge, so you can see what it looks like if you are trying really hard to see what is going on. The most notable thing here is that you can clearly see the row of "old" LEDs along the bottom. I suppose you could remove them, but they don't bother me. Just be aware that you can see them from a bit higher up as well. 🙂

Thanks for the reply Matt. I just received this table last week though, so I'm not sure why I wouldn't have had the 2BallDemo playlist out of the box, or why I had the Fox1warp1 track. Maybe the Sisbot on my table WAs pre-loaded a long time ago?

Yes, the first one is mine. Its does depend on the combination of table size and ball size to look "right" as it depends on the closer tracks looking different than the less-close tracks. It WAs designed on my 2' End Table and I haven't tried it on my Mini yet to see if it looks anything like it should. In the future I'd like to provide variants at different table sizes. As to why or how it messes up tracks afterwards, I'm not sure why that is happening on your table. It is possible to View the .thr files in a text editor, they are just theta rho pairs. Rho ...
I don't have much of a response on most of your points. I will say. decreasing and running my table at even 3/4 speed reduced some issues like balls going into the "ball Park"
In fact, since the ball Park appears to be a 2-car garage, you could potentially have 3 balls available, with 1 or 2 active at a time (I guess that's 9 combinations? A, B, C, A+B, B+A, A+C, C+A, B+C, and C+B). In addition to ball size, ball color could be cool (I'd love to see dark gray or black myself). To get truly crazy one could add a few more ball Parks at the other 3 cardinal directions and have up to 8 Parked balls.
I put few "Attach" and "Detach" in my Default Playlist which is shuffled, so sometimes the table is single ball and sometimes it's dual ball. But some tracks don't look great in single ball, so it will be nice when this is better than just random chance (and instead based on the track flag).
Next up is a straight on View of the new connection and the end of the new strip. The connector for the old LEDs is just tucked along the backside of the hoop in case I ever decide I WAnt/need to go back.

Next is a View from the underside. This is where I feel certain it can be done much more elegantly than I did it. But it works well and I haven't had any issues. I probably should seal it with silicon, but I am worried that that might muck up the velvet that is laying over the hole tbh...
You can see that I have just wrapped the old LED cord under the table for safekeeping.

That "shouldn't" happen (tracks are automatically scaled to the radius of the sand-field) - but - Murphy (as in his Law), is always at play. We're still working on making 2-ball mode more robust. Anything that causes either ball to become unattached from its magnet, may lead to two balls on one magnet. The two causes of ball-cleaving are crossing a sand mound that's too deep, and a ball hitting the ball Park (not during attach / detach track). The latter means Sisyphus is out of position. Position errors can add up when running at higher speeds. Like I said - we're working on it. Now that many more Sisyphi are 2-ball enabled, we will have far more feedback to help us figure it out.
Welcome to our forum, Doug! And thanks for sharing these. We are phasing out of using a Dropbox folder for public tracks, now that we have opened our Community section of the app (at long last!). All you need to do is log in at webcenter.sisyphus-industries.com, and then upload your tracks. Thumbnail images of the tracks will auto-generate, and so people can get an idea of the what the track will look like before downloading and running them.
Also - a nice feature of Sandify is that it allows you to View track files - just click on the Code tab, and then the "Click to load" under the Theta Rho Input heading. The track will be drawn in the black field, and there is a slider at the bottom which steps you through the path's course.

To go back to 1-ball, just run "detach" as a single, or put it in your playlist to automate it. ... that a line consisting of a pair of numbers represents an angle and radius and that a pair of lines like that represents a line in angle-radius space. Is there a WAy to manipulate the speed of the ball in a thr file? Are there standards for comments? Etc.
2) Does the ball always goes to home, i.e., (0,0), when a thr file is begun?
3) Is there a WAy to View the default thr files? I know how to upload and erase files, but is there a WAy to download them. In particular, I am interested in the erase file. (I've made my own, consisting of two lines, that ...

For all of these URLs, I'm omitting the DNS or IP address prefix which would look something like this 192.168.1.13/sisbot/play.
Also note that the proxy at 80 for forward over to the actual sisbot listener at 3002. Without proxy this would look like 192.168.1.13:3002/sisbot/play
You MUST replace the 192.168.1.13 with whatever IP or DNS you can reach your table at on your home router. You CAN keep the :3002 port or use with no port specifier on the default port 80 for each one of the URL.s

I have a 3 foot table, with occasional connection "quirks". I'm trying to identify the source of the issue, both to make my family happier and to help others do the same.
I think that part of my problem is that the antenna is on the RPi board itself. I'm reasonably sure this is an omni-directional chip antenna, but it is going to be influenced by the structure of the table, and especially by any metal parts. It likely does not help that the direct line of sight from my table's RPi to the nearest access point passes directly through the metal band around the rim of the table. (The part that supports the outside veneer band.)
I know the top most veneer ring is glued to plexiglass, and unless someone decided to aluminize it, that, the wood, and the glue would be nearly transparent to 2.4 GHz.
The RPi is attached to the underside of the plate that holds the sisbot's motors and the rest of the electronics. I suspect from photographs of the sisbot removed from the table that plate is aluminum. If so, that would likely be a reflector at 2.4 GHz, and limit the field of View of the antenna by pointing the signal generally towards the floor.
What is the sand tray made of? I know it can't be anything ferromagnetic or the whole thing wouldn't work at all.
My WiFi is provided by a collection of Ubiquity Unifi AP and AP-AC-Lite access points. I can always add one more if I can find the right place to put it...
Any thoughts?
