| Thank you for the question. Our webcenter site WAs Down yesterday from approximately 1:00-4:00pm central time yesterday. It is currently back up and operational. If you notice any further problems with login or Downloads, please let us know. Thanks,Matthew KlundtSisyphus Industries | |||||

Ive been running at about 1/2 - 3/4 speed. passing out and WAking up to a new design with no problems :)… Knock on wood | |||||

| I did this on a computer. I can't imagine doing it on a phone but I'm sure there are iPad tools that could handle the task. I decided to try because I thought it would be a fun learning experience and figured I could Knock it out in 20-30 minutes. HAHAHA! Three hours later I WAs on like rev 9 and laughing at my optimism. How I did it: I dropped your image into photoshop, removed the text, and then used the selection tool to make an outline. I stroked that outline onto a solid white background, saved the image as a PNG, and then uploaded it to Sisyphu ... | |||||

| ... at startup, and then....nothing. No lights, no motion, no connectivity through the app. I've seen this multiple times in the past even after performing a proper shutdown. So I did what I always did: hard power cycled it by just unplugging it. This time it came up, but when I opened the app, I saw a notice I'd never seen before, saying the table had been improperly shut Down, that a file error had been fixed, and that the table may have been reset to factory defaults as part of that fix -- which I discovered it had been. SERIOUSLY!? "Hey, your table wo ... | |||||

| Hey are there any updates on Alexa integration? Really eager to get this going. If not can I get confirmation that it won’t be a big deal to add a smart home on/off plug that I can control with Alexa? I won’t use it often but it would be more convenient to use voice when sitting Down to WAtch a movie and WAnting to turn Down the table light than doing it through the app. Thanks! | |||||

| Thanks for the heads up. This happens occasionally when our web server program goes Down. If you turn off "Share Log Files" on the Settings->Advanced->Log Files page, it will stop connecting to the web server. | |||||
| How can I use "apt install" to get new packages? | 2 Relevance | 3 years ago | virtualdmns | Table Usage | |
| I WAnt to put pip on my table for the factory installed python2. This is so I can get a package to have the lightstrip in the table match my philips hue setup. I keep getting permission issues for saving files, and 404 errors for the repositories in the table (cant get any package I WAnt). I feel like this thing is super locked Down, which is good, but not for someone like myself. I struggle to create a backup as well. Any WAy to let me at this thing, no restrictions? Why is the entire thing set as read only? Surely there must be a part of the setup that is ... | |||||
| RE: Removing ball hide plastic | 5 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| Yes, you can remove it. But it's stuck in place by relatively tenacious double sided tape, so use a thin non-pointed blade (butter knife) to pry it up around the edges, working slowly around the plastic edge, while firmly pressing Down on the beige cushion fabric so it doesn't come up with the plastic. Also, you can change the configuration of your table so it won't bother to do the parking routine when it boots up. You can change the configuration by going to Settings / Advanced, then tap the "Advanced" banner at the top 7 times, which will then open the "expert settings". Look Down the list of current info on your table, and note the Configuration. Scroll Down to "Sisyphus settings >" and choose the same configuration, but without "2ball" in its name. | |||||

| ... step by combining the routines, but I WAs too lazy then, and I don't use it very often now (plus, I think the intermediate distortion looks interesting at times). Just vanilla plines (type 0). No arcs, splines, etc. Start and end your tracks either at the center or the edge of the circle. Check the resulting thr file. The rho value of the first and last vertex in the file should be either 0 or 1 (start and end can be the same rho). Rho = 1 is anywhere on your boundary circle. Remember, in the polar world, the path between 2 points is a spiral (Archimedes). ... | |||||

| ... I thought this would be a good time to try that RO image you had linked earlier. I confirmed that my table has a 16 GB microSD card, but when I opened up BalenaEtcher, I WAs told that the target WAs too small because it's only 15.6 GB and the image requires 15.9 GB. I'm guessing that's Down to GB being defined in decimal vs. binary terms, but since I'm also guessing that the image includes a fair amount of slack to allow for tracks and such to be added, is there some version of this image that can in fact be laid Down on a 16 GB microSD card given that t ... | |||||

| ... unreliable thus far? I've only shut my table Down maybe 8-10 times, but I've always WAited at least 30 seconds to pull the plug after performing the shutdown in the app, and it seems that the table most often fails to come up properly again if it's been off for several days rather than only a few hours. I'm not sure whether that's truly a relevant factor or how/why it would be, but then again I also don't know why a Linux-based system that WAs properly shut Down wouldn't come back in general. Great to hear a backup and restore function is on the WAy. I w ... | |||||

| RE: App request for lighting mode | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | matt2 | Table Customization | |
| Thanks for the questions: 1. No, there is no automatic WAy to change lighting modes at this time. You have to manually change it in the app. 2. Yes, you can delete specific tracks from Playlists by going to the Playlist page, and touch on the three dots (...) in the upper-right corner of your screen. Down the page a little bit, it says "Edit Playlist". Touch on that, and you will be at a screen where you can add, move, and reorder tracks from that Playlist. Hope that helps, Matt | |||||

| RE: Ball goes to rho=1 at end of track | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| I pinged Matt (our lead dev) - He thinks it may be a leftover from an old issue related to track-optimizing (removing points that are extremely close together). He suggests sending the log file to our support desk: Connect to your table with you computers browser (not phone app). Go to settings > Advanced. Mouse click 7x on the "Advanced" banner on top (it will open more settings). Scroll Down to Log Files, and open. Choose Download all. Send files to [email protected] Also, he suggested you can try to delete the file (apache1) and then Download it from the Community repo again. | |||||

| I recently had to reimage my table's SD card to get my coffee table running properly after it had been shut Down for several days while WAiting for a replacement LED strip that I installed after the original strip failed. After reimaging the SD card, I followed instructions I had previously received from Sisyphus Support for restoring tracks and playlists. I had previously backed up "/home/pi/sisbot-server/sisbot/content", and to restore them, I SSH'd to the table, ran "sudo killall node", and then used WinSCP (an SFTP client) to delete the existing files ... | |||||
| Table now locking up on a regular basis | 4 Relevance | 5 years ago | john.hughan | Table Usage | |
| ... cycling the table fixes it for a few hours, but a) the problem returns a few hours later, and b) given prior experiences of how the table behaves after power is cut, I don't really like power cycling it. This is unfortunately just the latest aggravation of several in the 5 months that I've had my coffee table. First I ended up having to perform multiple factory resets, each of which restored the table to a slightly different state -- and each of which caused me to lose my Downloaded tracks and custom playlists. Then I had a firmware update brick my table, ... | |||||
