| Hi, smarthome enthusiast here. I am still loving my Sisyphus coffee table and have been enjoying tinkering with WAys to remotely Control it. I prefer physical buttons over a touchscreen or smartphone app. I currently have Flic buttons working well for basic commands (play / pause / sleep / WAke / dim / bright.) I WAs wondering if I could set up something similar for the excellent LaMetric Time display? It has buttons on top for Control, and the display could also show the name of the Sisyphus track currently being drawn. Is this something IFTTT could help w ... | |||||

| Hey everyone. First off, I love these tables!!!! I am fortunate to own two tables from you guys. One in my home. One in my beach house. Is there a WAy to Control both tables off the same app knowing the two tables are on two different wifi networks? Or, do I need to set up the app on a separate cell phone to Control the second table? | @stevetheevans - This is the right place for feature requests! We haven't brought more lighting Controls out to the interface yet, but Matt (our dev) set up the lighting Control code (Python) so that it is relatively easy to experiment with. If you or others are interested, I will have him write up some short instructions (it involves connecting to the Raspberry Pi, navigating to where this code is, and modifying parameters). | |||||

| The Comet lighting mode is nice, but due to the very wide spread of primary LEDs, and actual comet look is not what we get. Having a number of LEDs (or arc size in degrees) Control for the primary color would get a real comet look when set to a single LED. BTW, is there a better WAy/place to bring up new features? | |||||

| Yes. Any number of devices can connect to and Control the table at the same time - but for now, a single device can only be connected to one table at a time. | |||||

| Yes, color lighting courtesy of LIFX Z strips. Because I already have most of my home on LIFX lighting, this WAs the natural choice. Since LIFX also allows Control of the lights while I’m not on my home WiFi, whereas this is not yet the case for Sisyphus, it is definitely more convenient at this time to illuminate the table with these. That said, I am curious to find out how you’re going to integrate color lighting with the table, as this would admit track and/or ball position dependent color lighting, something that LIFX can’t do. | Hello, I'm on Home Assistant and my table works fine with it. As far back as I could trace the code for this integration, it looks like it WAs put together by a user. I would LOVE to have the ability to change light color/temperature/light effects from Home Assistant. The integration WAs absorbed as part of HA core so I don't know who's responsible for the code any more but I put in a feature request with HA for it. I am cross pollinating my request here in case there's another savvy user who either knows the code or knows enough to give the light more ... | |||||

| Hi, I love my 36" coffee table. A while back I upgraded the lights with RGBW NeoPixels and an Arduino and it WAs even more amazing. I WAs happy when the retrofit kits came out, so I ordered one. A customer service rep WAs kind enough to discount the kit by leaving the LEDs out (since I already had that) so I only upgraded with the light Control board. The NeoPixels work perfectly with the Sisyphus Control board, but unfortunately I must have gotten something mixed up when I originally swapped out the lights - colors modes with a rho follow are inverted! | The first issue does sound like a bug - I'll pass your report on to our devs. The second issue may be a bug, or may be a feature :). There are two choices for lighting Control - manual vs. autodim. The default is autodim: There is a photosensor on the SisBotBoard (SBB) that is "looking" at the floor under the table, which is then used as a rough gauge of ambient lighting in the environment. Using this, the LED's dim in evening, and brighten in the day - all without user intervention. In this mode, the slider affects the sensitivity of the sensor - and this relationship is not linear. Since there are many variables involved (ambient light levels, floor under table reflectance, and people's preference for what is "proper" light level), the optimal setting for the slider will vary, and is arrived at empirically. With the autodim feature disabled, the table will respond to the slider more as you describe - brightness will vary linearly* over the entire range, but will not auto-change with changing ambient light levels. *Actually, the relationship is exponential in Control of the hardware, but is perceived as linear by the human eye. | |||||

| ... via that route, but we haven't dived into it (yet). The down-side of LIFX Z is that the "quantum" of Control is a group (zone) of 6 RGBW LED's, and I'm assuming the circuitry on their strips is proprietary, and takes advantage of being able to use 24V (as opposed to 5V for all other individually addressable LED strips). I'm guessing the 6 LEDs in each zone are wired in series makeing it possible to use a higher voltage, and hence far lower power supply current to produce the same WAttage. | @Cameron - Thanks for the work you're doing on this. We've added API documentation to our dev's priority list, and with some pointers from him I WAs able to get my Flic button to Control play/pause and brightness up/dn. Given the Flic is limited to three actions (click, double-click, and hold) I don't see it as the ideal Controller for Sisyphus - but it has definitely fueled our desire to explore more WAys to allow people to connect their tables to a range of IoT Control schemes. | |||||

| I just started messing with the RGBW neopixels last week so I don't have a lot of experience, but I found ALA when looking for existing implementations of neopixels, arduino and Rpi for network Control. The fact that ALA had built animations WAs a huge plus, because I expected creating all the animations from scratch could suck up a lot of time. | Following on from playing around with the flic buttons to Control my sisyphus table via a home automation hub, I use home assistant at home so I have set it up to Control my sisyphus, Current setup is When an erase track starts set speed to 100%When erase track finishes set back to 30%When I leave home pause the tableWhen I return Resume the table.You can also adjust the Speed and brightness of Sisyphus in home assistant with slide bars and Pause / Unpause etc with clickable scripts.If there is interest I can publish my whole config to Github for users, but to test you can add the following to your Home assistant configs to test Sisyphus if you do config.yaml, groups.yaml and scripts.yaml first you can see the status of Sisyphus without worrying about making the automation work (As it depends on having presence detection setup) Ill Attach 1 file to each post (If you just use configuration.yaml) you will be able to see the Status of Sisyphus in the top header of home assistant. | I can not see both of my tables on the app. I use the same wifi for both tables. I have a coffee table and a mini. I can only see the mini. I have signed out of the app and tried to disconnect from wifi. When I sign back in I still only see the mini table. Can you assist? You should be able to switch between multiple tables in the app. Tesla does a good job with this as we have 2-tesla cars. Thank you and keep up the great artwork | |||||
