| RE: Offset bug-like event | 5 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Beta releases and bugs | |
| I'd need more info to be sure, but from your description, it sounds like the erase did not start from home (Rho = 0). The "clunk" might be the Rho axis running to its end of travel (which causes no harm, but sounds bad). I'm also guessing you are built the offset track using Sandify (which has an XY offset function)? All valid Sisyphus tracks must be "conformal" - meaning start and end points must be have Rho = 0 or 1. Our software should auto-correct any non-conformal tracks, but maybe there is something about your track causes this to fail. It would Ideal if you could DM the track file so we can take a look at it. Also - if you are using Sandify, don't forget to choose to force the end points to either "center" or "perimeter" (after choosing "polar machine". | |||||

| We know the current bumper strategy is less than Ideal, and are working on a better solution (hopefully, and all-the-way-round rubber seal). At issue now is getting it to look nice. Will announce when we have something better available. | |||||

| Happy to hear you're enjoying the table - but not that it's having problems. This forum is great for sharing knowledge and experience, but not Ideal for troubleshooting. We do however have a great support team. Please start a ticket by submitting a request (if you have pics of the sand field during the problem you described, please attach it to the request). Rest assured, we will get your table back to normal function. | |||||
| RE: Looking for some experienced users' advice. | 5 Relevance | 6 years ago | dithermaster | Table Usage | |
| I run 2-ball frequently; I have Attach and Detach in my main playlist so it's kind of random. Yes, some tracks are not Ideal in 2-ball mode. There is a flag for this, but the table does not use it yet. On my 2' side table I've never had lost ball or attached-to-main. The only problem I have is that after a while Detach stops working due to sand build-up in the ball park, so I have to manually clear that. I'm wondering if maybe you have too much sand on your table. Did you use all of it, or about half-ish (we didn't use all the sand that came with the table). | |||||
| RE: Track organization. | 5 Relevance | 6 years ago | heropup | App Usage | |
| @mdolfis: By design, the WAy tracks are played, there isn't a distinction between "center-edge" and "edge-center." Here's how it currently works, and this includes the erase pattern. If the next track to be played is "center-edge" or "edge-center," wherever the ball has ended, the table will automatically read the next track in forward or reverse order so as to not need to jump from edge to center or vice versa. So for example, if the current track ended at the edge, but the list of coordinates for the next track begins at the center and ends at the edge ... | |||||
| RE: "Pause between tracks" | 5 Relevance | 8 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| @Cameron - Thanks for the work you're doing on this. We've added API documentation to our dev's priority list, and with some pointers from him I WAs able to get my Flic button to control play/pause and brightness up/dn. Given the Flic is limited to three actions (click, double-click, and hold) I don't see it as the Ideal controller for Sisyphus - but it has definitely fueled our desire to explore more WAys to allow people to connect their tables to a range of IoT control schemes. | |||||
| RE: White Light Flickering | 5 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| ... But WArranty is 1 year for everything except wood tables - which is 2 years. I would suggest checking the 2-wire cable which connects the LED string to the SisBotBoard under the table. If you follow it back (from the LEDs to the SBB) you will find a connection near the LED string and another where it attaches to the SBB. Try disconnecting and reconnecting them. If that doesn't help, please start a support ticket at the above email address. We'll get it fixed ASAP. | |||||
| RE: 1.10.13 update problem | 5 Relevance | 7 years ago | MicahR | Beta releases and bugs | |
| ... table owners. What caused this - we pushed a functional change to the operation of these tables that is intended to increase home (center) precision. This new change by itself causes the table to not home correctly in the event it resets without power-cycling the table. This happens during factory resets, name change, and updates. To avoid this issue we added another functional change that returns the ball to home before a factory reset, name change and update. Since we added the changes simultaneously, the fix (home before update) WAs in place too late t ... | |||||
| RE: Night mode | 5 Relevance | 7 years ago | MicahR | Beta releases and bugs | |
| Hello, Bruce is correct, the table pulls time when connecting with the mobile app. The current implementation of night mode is less than Ideal and will be improved as we continue develeopment. Here’s a list of caveats to keep in mind: Time is updated when connected to the mobile app. Unplugging the table will cause the clock to stop. On re-power the clock will start where it left off. You’ll need to connect with the mobile app to update the time. Connecting with a browser will not update. I have to double check with my dev on this but I’m pretty sure this is correct. If you’re using a browser on you tablet this may be why the time on your table is incorrect. When we improve this functionality it will: Update time when connected to the bb. mobile app, browser or WiFi with internet access. This means as long as the table is connected to your home WiFi it will keep accurate time even if you power cycle it. We’re working on many updates to the app so I don’t have a date of when this will improve, but it is on our list and we’re doing everything possible to expedite develeopment. Please let me know if this is helpful or it’s still not operating correctly. Micah | |||||
| RE: Orientation of patterns | 5 Relevance | 8 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| ... It is certainly possible to change the software - and that will likely be an option in the future, since this is important for some users, such as yourself. But even without a software change, you can "force" playback of a path in a certain orientation if you're willing go "under the hood" just a bit. The key is that the orientation is always set after the table "homes" (moves until it activates sensors that confirm its in the home position of both axes). Homing happens after the table first boots, and then whenever you make a change - like playing a differ ... | |||||
