@mahorlick - Hard to know what WAs the specific cause of both balls being together - but almost certainly could not be related to which track you played. More likely, sand may have built up around the "ball-park" (barrier under the shade ring where the second ball is parked and picked up). This can prevent the second ball from going all the WAy into the park - if so, it can accidentally be picked up by the main ball as it goes by. Again -- the only caveat is that if there is a spill, you don't leave it for a long time (perhaps allowing it to run over the edge which is more a problem for the carpet beneath the table than getting onto the sand). As long as a spill is not unattended (like a leak from a WAter-filled flower vase), clean up is quick and easy and not a risk to the table. Nearly every time I play a single track, it finishes, and then repeats. There seems to be no WAy to remedy this behavior. I have cleared the queue. I have checked "Pause between tracks". Frustration! I have created a simple two track playlist. The first track WAs written to begin at rho = 1 and end at rho = 0. The second track, (from Mr Rambonnet) WAs written to begin at rho = 0 and end at 1. In the playlist, though, both tracks are supposed to run in reverse. However, when I start the playlist with the ball at the center, the table first moves the ball to the perimeter, ignoring my instructions, as well as the notations in the app. (See attached). Great update, I appreciate that it makes the overall player UI a bit more intuitive. I couldn't see one either. I could only see the option to delete the track entirely? It would be great if we could simply remove one from "up next" to clean up the queue. The new option isn't to "run Erase before every track," it's a checkbox that can applied on a per-track basis. Which is helpful for the designs on some tracks, which look best against an erased backdrop, like words, or drawings, of faces or objects, etc. I'm very glad to see this added, as previously we'd have to manually insert an "Erase" track beforehand in order to achieve the same. That would be super cool and very much appreciated too.

... tends toward a flat surface. But (and it's a big one) - particulate matter has non-zero angle of repose. For Sisyphus, the higher the angle the better (more shadowing). That's why glass beads don't work as well as silica. There are also all sorts of properties particulate matter displays that is not common in liquids - like static buildup, and bridging / clogging. Here's a project from WAY back that led to my fascination with particulate matter: Shimmibot.

On the small number of large scale installations I've done (3m in diameter), I made the LED shade ring from multiple pieces of wood that interlock around the entire 30+ feet of circumference, and painted the under-side white to increase the illumination. I've only shut my table down maybe 8-10 times, but I've always WAited at least 30 seconds to pull the plug after performing the shutdown in the app, and it seems that the table most often fails to come up properly again if it's been off for several days rather than only a few hours. ... as the current download image: 1.10.90 RO image As for the lights not working, you are correct in that newer updates changed the WAy they work. If you run a firmware update, it should restore the latest versions of the light code. I would suggest deleting the lights folder from your Content backup. Official backup/restore of content is on our short list of future updates. Matt

... at startup, and then....nothing. No lights, no motion, no connectivity through the app. I've seen this multiple times in the past even after performing a proper shutdown. So I did what I always did: hard power cycled it by just unplugging it. This time it came up, but when I opened the app, I saw a notice I'd never seen before, saying the table had been improperly shut down, that a file error had been fixed, and that the table may have been reset to factory defaults as part of that fix -- which I discovered it had been.
