| Thanx. I’ll give the “run before next upload” a try. I WAs uploading all (one-by-one: WAiting for completed confirmation before starting next) then trying to run: none appeared in the library. just my luck the first One would be corrupt. is there a WAy to tell if file(s) are bad before trying upload? All came down from Dropbox with correct file-extension and appeared to be appropriate size. | |||||
| Request - Table firmware/SD Card Image | 2 Relevance | 7 months ago | joshua.j.gabel | Table Usage | |
| When moving somehow the SD card for my table got lost. I have since purchased a 16GB class10 card but don't have the firmware/SD image to make the replacement card. I have scoured the forum and troubleshooting sections of the website with no luck finding a non-dead link to an Image. Support is out for vacation till tomorrow and today is the only One I have off work to mess with this. If anyone has a link to an image, even an old One I would be forever grateful! | |||||
| Both balls joining together and not separating | 4 Relevance | 7 years ago | MAHorlick | Table Usage | |
| Are the tracks submitted by individuals tested for bugs? I have a 3 foot coffee table. I entered into "all tracks" and selected One (not entirely sure which One. I don't WAnt to provide inaccurate information). The smaller ball joined the larger One. It appeared as if a magnetic force attracted, and held them together. While "attached", they both began drawing. Frequently, One ball jumped/rolled over the other One, while they still remained "attached". It didn't appear correct. Turning the power off did not result in the smaller ball returning to its prop ... | |||||
| Bearing in theta motor damaged | 3 Relevance | 5 years ago | wbrigg | Table Usage | |
| ... as gears skipping. So i started dismantling the table to determine where the problem WAs, and nothing i removed stopped the clicking/stalling. Eventually i had the belt disconnected from the theta motor and it still kept stalling. It makes sense that it WAs the theta motor stalling, as the ball would just move slowly outwards while the theta motor WAs stalled and the rho motor i guess WAs attempting to match the rotation it assumed the theta motor WAs doing to keep rho constant/moving at the correct speed for the pattern. Next i took the motor out and dis ... | |||||
| RE: Question ref. track start points | 3 Relevance | 5 years ago | Patti | Community Tracks | |
| ... will need for this. All tracks start at either 0 or 1 and end at 0 or 1. You can have any combination of those-- a track that starts and ends at the edge (11), starts at the edge and goes to the center (10), etc. Some tracks are reversible. The erase track is One of those, and it's super simple. It has two lines that read like this, in non-math terms: - Start in the center- Go to the edge, but take the long WAy around Because it's reversible when you play the erase track the first thing the table does is check to see where the ball is. If the bal ... | |||||
| RE: Impact of relative ball size? | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Table Customization | |
| ... start to stick to One another due to van der WAals forces. This is why powders don't behave exactly like sands do. I have used pure baking soda - it works, and produces great detail - but just doesn't look as nice (IMO). This particle size boundary limits smooth rolling of smaller balls (ball:particle size ratio is too low - the ball gets "stuck" and deflected by the particles). Again, it's not a functional limitation - I have used ~1/8" diam. BB's, and they "work" just fine - but they move jerkily. If your goal is to to a picture of a completed track that ... | |||||

| ... talk about polar vs SCARA design. Also check out "Zen Table" by Simon Hallam, he WAs One of the first Ones to commercialize the concept a few years before Sisyphus, but he used a cartesian design. We believe SCARA is superior to both cartesian and polar and a much more elegant solution that opens the door to very unique possibilities, like our Stelle design, which would be impossible with either One of the other mechanism types. This WAs One of the responses to the comments in the campaign, and I found it a bit disingenuous, to say the least, because the ... | |||||
| RE: App data backup | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | Bruce | App Usage | |
| We are currently working on a seamless backup of tracks and playlists. But at present, from our developers: The current implementation we are working on will backup tracks IDs and playlist structure to your community account (created when downloading tracks to your table). If you reset your Sisyphus or get a new One, you will then be able download all of the prior tracks and playlists in One step. The frequency and number of backups is still being ironed out. Info about the tracks is loaded on your phone, but the actual track movement data is not stored in the phone. It would not be possible to save it out through the phone. | |||||

| @jillbolshawgmail-com An excellent question. Getting the amount of sand right is the trickiest part of setting the table up. I added sand slowly until the ball WAs submerged at around 1/3 of its circumference. For my coffee table, that's a bit under One and One half bags of sand. | |||||
| RE: Brightness-- stainless vs black ring | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Patti | Table Usage | |
| @Bruce I imagine there are lots of complications as the size grows. Do you make the rings flat on the underside of enormous tables, or are they angled to direct the light farther? My side table is both subtle and not-subtle. The difference jumped out at me every time I WAlked past it, and I run the stainless One at about 1/3 less brightness than I used for the black One. | |||||

| I'd love a single track that attaches, erases, and detaches. Preferably leaving the big ball centered and the little ball in the bullpen without having to run across the freshly erased sand. I realize this could be partially achieved with a playlist but I like to run "pause between tracks" at all times. I run these 3 tracks, each One manually, all the time. It would nice to consolidate them into One track. | |||||
| Acrylic top for table? | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Patti | Table Customization | |
| Has anyone successfully used an acrylic top for the table rather than a glass One? I take the top off of my end table regularly, either to flatten the berm or to take close-up photos, and acrylic isn't prone to shattering and sending shards halfway across the room if I mishandle it. I ordered an acrylic top and it's fine except for One problem-- I wind up with sand stuck to the underside of the acrylic due to static electricity. | |||||
| RE: Mini LED add | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | dithermaster | Table Customization | |
| I think so. I haven't seen the mini without LEDs, but as long as the outside WAll is tall enough you can use an LED strip with adhesive backing, and tuck the wires and control module somewhere. I'd suggest getting One you can set the colors on, because if you get red only you might get bored (unless you really like red!) On my 2' side table I replaced the original white LED strip with an RGBW addressable One and ran color patterns on it using an Arduino microcontroller. They were not based on ball position like the factory strip, but they proved out the con ... | |||||

We can't provide a quick diagnosis or fix without further info. 2 - from your picture, your coffee table "thinks" it's an end table (smaller field). | RE: Sisyphus Update 1.12.04 | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | userfriendly | App Updates | |
| Great update, I appreciate that it makes the overall player UI a bit more intuitive. I couldn't see One either. I could only see the option to delete the track entirely? It would be great if we could simply remove One from "up next" to clean up the queue. The new option isn't to "run Erase before every track," it's a checkbox that can applied on a per-track basis. Which is helpful for the designs on some tracks, which look best against an erased backdrop, like words, or drawings, of faces or objects, etc. I'm very glad to see this added, as previously we'd have to manually insert an "Erase" track beforehand in order to achieve the same. That would be super cool and very much appreciated too. | |||||
| RE: Track(s) Play Twice | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | App Usage | |
| I discussed this with our devs and support team - and no One could come up with a good explanation. One possibility could be a bug involving "pause between tracks" and the "night mode" option to force play on WAke. have you enabled either pause between tracks or night mode? Also - I highly recommend becoming familiar with making playlists. It's very easy to make them: Library> Playlists> hit the "+" ... | |||||

| I have a vague recollection as well but couldn't find anything. There's One called Canada_Tfoust10 - it's a map with a maple leaf incorporated into the prairies. Nicely done. As an Albertan and Oilers fan, I suppose I shouldn't mention there's a Toronto Maple Leafs One too, but in the spirit of national unity I will. But that track shall never find its WAy onto my table. Good luck eh! | |||||
| RE: Delete track capability? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | matt2 | App Updates | |
| Force Orientation fixes the direction (up?) that the track draws. Normally, when One track ends the theta (rotation) continues relative to where the last One stopped. This forces the ball to start at a zero point. Example: the snowboarder will always be drawn facing the same direction if Force Orientation is selected for it. | |||||
