| Drinks on the table | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | Philipp Merz | Table Usage | |
| Dear all Probably this question has already been asked, but I didn't find anything about it. So please excuse me, if I do a mistake as a newbie here. My Metal Side Table is on the WAy. I experienced, that it isn't the best idea to put a coffee on a piano. Please don't ask why… Is it possible, to put liquids on Sisyphus tables? Sure, one is able to put any beer or so on it. But what happens if something is spillt? Is it a problem regarding sand or electronics? Thank you for your experience or a link, where my question is answered. Regards, Phil ... | |||||

| I guess a solution would be to paste the spacers on the glass, and not on the Metal part of the table. Not sure it will be of any help, but I will givbe a try. | |||||

| the custom order screen just shows the overall diameter but what are the actual working sizes for the sisyphus inside the ring ? is the mini same as the Metal side table ? i wonder if we can just buy the sispyhus without the actual furniture portion of it. i already have a coffee table (glass) with a top glass and a bottom glass surface so i WAnted the largest possible size i can stick inside it without a base. | |||||

| RE: Feature requests | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | App Updates | |
| Appreciate the multiple suggestions, and will discuss with devs. One thing to keep in mind is that high speed on tracks that have sharp corners (which "erase" completely avoids) is more likely to cause position error on Metal tables and Minis (because they use steppers, which do not have position feedback). Position error does not cause physical harm - but can cause noise, distorted tracks, and losing the ball from hitting the ball park. | |||||
| New User - Table Troubleshooting | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | alex.hintz17 | Table Usage | |
| Hello Sisyphus Community! I recently WAs lucky enough to acquire a Metal Sisyphus side table second hand from someone who used to work for the company. I've really been enjoying exploring how the table and interface work. However, the table has a few issues that I'm hoping someone could help me troubleshoot to get it working properly. The first issue is that both of the white/RGB light strips aren't working properly under normal operating conditions. The linked picture shows how the lights typically look when the table is running: At first I thought it w ... | |||||
| Brightness-- stainless vs black ring | 2 Relevance | 4 years ago | Patti | Table Usage | |
| I have a lot of stainless steel furniture in my loft so when the limited edition stainless side table became available I impulse bought it, rolled my eyes at myself, and then sold my black Metal side table to a friend. As one does. Every time I WAlked past the new table I found myself thinking, "Wow, the lights are really bright!" I wondered if there were different LEDs on the table but then I realized that the stainless steel ring is far more reflective than the black one WAs. WAs that the difference? | RE: 2-ball kit settings - 36" RGBW Table | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | Bruce | Table Customization | |
| Fora Metal coffee table (36" diameter), the configuration setting is RGBW 2-ball (NOT servo). The radius should be set to 13.5. The purpose of the ball park piece is to provide a WAy to purposely cleave the tail ball from the tail magnet (which is called "parking"). This happens when you play the special track "detach" and allows you to go from 2-ball play to 1-ball. The ball stays parked until you play "attach". The placement of the ball park is important - follow the directions carefully. | |||||
| RE: Need a better way to secure glass | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | clentz1 | Table Customization | |
| I have also experienced the issue of the glass moving and pulling the adhesive bumpers off. Removing the adhesive, cleaning the frame and glass is a headache. I am real close to drilling 4 or 8 holes in the top of the Metal frame and inserting black bumpers with a stem that goes into the holes. These will not move or come off. This WAy you would simply have to reposition the glass top if it does move. | |||||

| Hello, have gone through numerous bumpers to hold the glass on the black powder coated Metal rim. They tend to come off pretty easy once we bump the glass or put our feet up on the table. Need to secure the table better and wondering if anyone has come up with an alternative? | |||||

| ... as gears skipping. So i started dismantling the table to determine where the problem WAs, and nothing i removed stopped the clicking/stalling. Eventually i had the belt disconnected from the theta motor and it still kept stalling. It makes sense that it WAs the theta motor stalling, as the ball would just move slowly outwards while the theta motor WAs stalled and the rho motor i guess WAs attempting to match the rotation it assumed the theta motor WAs doing to keep rho constant/moving at the correct speed for the pattern. Next i took the motor out and dis ... | |||||

Static phenomena are notorious for being difficult to track down and eliminate in industry. A long while back, I WAs obsessed / outraged by sand sticking to the ball during dry periods (like Minnesota winters). I tried grounding everything Metal anywhere near the sand, including the pan. Nope. My undergrad WAs biochem and included lots of inorganic as well. Took me a while, but I finally tried mixing baking soda (NaHCO3) in - and it work ...

| Lights flash twice but won't turn on after | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | poretti_michael | Table Usage | |
| Someone please help. I've been having trouble with my table so I took out the SD card and reimaged per instructions on here. The table turns on and the lights flash twice as normal but I have no control of the lights otherwise no matter what I try; they wont come on. Also, sometimes the table picks up the ball and others it doesn't and plays as if the ball were moving. I'm so frustrated I just WAnt the table to work. I have the coffee table by the WAy, the Metal one. | |||||
| Ball not rolling smooth | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | jay14837 | Table Usage | |
| The ball I’m using on my Metal side table is rolling vary choppy. Not a smooth roll like we see in the Sisyphus videos. Does anyone else has this issue. My first thought WAs to much sand, then I took a bunch out and did an erase pattern to spread the sand. Is the sand compacted now or something. | |||||

| White LED temperature resetting | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | john.hughan | App Usage | |
| I have a Metal Coffee Table with RGBW lighting running firmware 1.10.70. Recently I've noticed that if use the Sisyphus iOS app to change the White LED color temperature to any value on the slider other than the center value and then completely quit the app on my iPhone from the multi-tasking interface, when I relaunch the app, after the "Scanning for nearby tables" and "Connecting" phases complete, the table resets the white color temperature to the center value, and the slider in the app is repositioned accordingly. This is 100% reproducible. | |||||

I've tried unplugging the table many times, and WAiting anywhere from 10 seconds to 20 minutes. I've tried a factory reset and the results are the same. Is there something I need to do get the table set up correctly?
