| Thanks for the info Micah, As it turns out I did not need the external antenna after all. See attached the pictures of what the table looks like after some small modifications :). It almost looks like my coffee table and the Sisyphus metal coffee table were made to be together. | ... at startup, and then....nothing. No lights, no motion, no connectivity through the app. I've seen this multiple times in the past even after performing a proper shutdown. So I did what I always did: hard power cycled it by just unplugging it. This time it came up, but when I opened the app, I saw a notice I'd never seen before, saying the table had been improperly shut down, that a file error had been fixed, and that the table may have been reset to factory defaults as part of that fix -- which I discovered it had been. | Thanks for the heads up, the SVG aspect ratio WAs being squished to fit in a square. I've fixed that issue, and made the change so tracks tagged with XYLA appear as rectangles too. Please try uploading again, and let me know if it does not behave as expected. Matthew Klundt | |||||

| Low, I think the issue is that you need to touch on the "Edit" button (square w/ pencil) in the upper-right hand corner first. On the edit page is where the tracks can be reorganized. This edit page also shows you where connection lines would need to be added between tracks if played in sequential order. Hope that helps. | |||||

| After updating the iOS app today to ver 1.8.38 I cannot connect the table to wifi to update firmware. It endlessly gathers networks. To interrupt it, I hit the advanced tab, click update firmware, which asks me to connect to wifi. That takes me to the wifi page where it recognizes my network. I input the password, but there is no button to press to join the network (so I can't actually join). What's more, each time I restart the app, it takes me back to square one, asking me to update the firmware. At which point, I cannot connect the table to wifi to update firmware. It endlessly gathers networks ... same as above. Ideas? | |||||

| ... a cheap square one myself. it has a 1m x 1m size (80cmx80cm viewable sand).I will send you the images of the machine when it is finished. I used a 6mm mirror plate as the sand support surface and used fine baking soda as sand but I have 1. noise when the ball (16mm) is rolling and 2. the ball movement is not as smooth as the ones in the Sisyphus Table Trailers. In search for a solution I found this forum and this post. So I WAnt to kindly ask if it is possible for you to tell me what is used as sand support surface and what type of sand (exact size, shape ... | |||||

| Hi Ben, Sorry to hear your new table isn't working properly. It sounds like there is a problem with the home sensor (when the table boots up, the first thing it does is find "home" - first the rotation axis, then the linear). Since you can see the arm rotating, the motor is working - but the sensor is not responding when a tiny "target magnet" passes by it. Try this: Unplug the table. Look under and find the "SisBotBoard" (square circuit board). Check the connectors attached to it by tugging gently - especially the ones with 2 white and 1 black wire (these go to the Theta and Rho sensors). Even if they're not loose, reseat them by depressing the tiny plastic latch and pulling. Then reconnect by pushing in until you hear / feel a click. Neither pulling out or pushing in should require much force. Then try repowering the table. Fingers crossed... Bruce ps- if this doesn't work, follow the 3-wire cables to the two sensors and see if there is anything obvious (they should be firmly glued in place on the plate that holds the motors). | @jeffeb3 I'm not sure your current settings need improving, but my guess is for much larger fields, more verts would be better. If anything, vert number should be proportional to the field radius, or maybe the square of the radius. | |||||
