@mdolfis: By design, the WAy tracks are played, there isn't a distinction between "center-edge" and "edge-center." Here's how it currently works, and this includes the erase pattern.
If the next track to be played is "center-edge" or "edge-center," wherever the ball has ended, the table will automatically read the next track in forward or reverse order so as to not need to jump from edge to Center or vice versa. So for example, if the current track ended at the edge, but the list of coordinates for the next track begins at the Center and ends at the edge ...

There are four types of tracks: Center-to-center, edge-to-edge, Center-to-edge, and edge-to-center. When you start playing a track, that track always plays in the order that it WAs written. When you play a "playlist" with multiple tracks, the software will stitch together "compatible" tracks, and this includes flipping Center-to-edge, and edge-to-center tracks to play in reverse, depending on where the previous track ended. I recently received my table and WAs able to upload a number of neat tracks from some of the users - thanks everyone! I had only previously played tracks from the default playlist, and those all seem to run forward or backward (i.e. Center to edge, or edge to Center). However, I noticed that when playing single tracks, they all home in to the Center before starting.
How does one determine which tracks can start from the edge and which can start from the Center only? I would like to avoid having to home from edge to Center first.

Today my table started making multiple clicking noises a second when its near the Center, these are loud thunks that sound like skipping gears. I believe it is skipping gears since the lights get out of sync with the ball when these happen (lights move past the ball). It is more frequent in the Center but still happens half WAy out. Seems to happen more on the South East-East side (Mini's cable is North) of the table. I have taken off the top and cleaned both the arms, the plates and the underside but its still present
Playing with the Mini, I have noticed after I perform an Erase the ball is on the outside rim of the table. Then, when I start a new track, the ball relocates to the Center of the table leaving a direct line in the sand. I have ran a few patterns where parts of that line are still visible when the pattern has finished.
Is there any WAy to have the Erase track finish in the Center of the table to prevent the line from showing?

All tracks start at either 0 or 1 and end at 0 or 1. You can have any combination of those-- a track that starts and ends at the edge (11), starts at the edge and goes to the Center (10), etc.
Some tracks are reversible. The erase track is one of those, and it's super simple. It has two lines that read like this, in non-math terms:
- Start in the Center- Go to the edge, but take the long WAy around

... error occurs at all speeds, but I typically run my table at the very slowest rate. The picture attached shows it at its lowest speed.
I found a previous forum post: , where Bruce suggested we could use the table's advanced settings to adjust the "homing offset" but I wonder if there may have been changes to the menu in the two years since that post WAs made as I don't see any homing offset (unless the "jog" options are what I'm looking for?) and the settings I've tried don't appear to make any difference when I adjust them.

That is likely due to small errors in Rho positions that accumulate over time. This causes the ball to not be at true Center when it is supposed to be there. So when the track sends the ball through the Center, and it must do a 180 degree turn to come out the other side, you see an arc. Home position is established when the table boots up (it moves both axis until home sensors are activated), and it re-checks these at the end of a track if it ends at Rho = 0. If this position offset is constant (you see a small "donut" artifact in the Center of all your tracks) you can adjust the homing offset (using the advanced table settings). But if it happens only on certain tracks, it may be due to running at higher speeds on tracks with sharp corners (like the one in your pic). Try running that track slower and seeing if it makes a difference.
Create a text file with the following lines:
#force erase from edge to Center
0 00 1628.32 0
Save it as "erase2center.thr" or whatever you WAnt as long as it has the ".thr". Upload to your table via the app on your computer browser. This track will always erase to the Center. The downside is that it will make a straight line first, from Center to edge, and if the prior track ends at the edge, it will add an arc to the Center before that. It will also be slow compared to the normal erase. (We are working on a nicer solution.)
It would be a HUGE help to know by name if tracks started from the Center or the edge and finished in the Center or the edge. Maybe a naming convention of CC for patterns that start and end in the Center or CE for ones that start Center and end edge. It would also be great to have a delete cycle that’s runs inside out and another one that runs outside in. That would keep us from having the weird errant line behind otherwise really pretty patterns. Thank you!
New table user here - I'm loving the side table so far. I noticed that when the ball homes to Center, it is not exactly at the Center of the table. I WAs looking for a WAy to manually adjust what the bot believes is Center, and believe I may have found it in the Advanced Movement section when logged into the table with the browser. I see jog theta left/right and jog rho outward/inward. However, I did not notice any discernible difference after clicking these a few times, and I don't recall seeing instructions in the FAQs.

We had our weekly support meeting, and this came up. Everyone agreed (including me) that my "procedure" could be made a whole lot easier! I assume you used Sandify to create a track that is simply a line that passes through the Center? In the meeting we agreed to create a tool in our app to make this easier (akin to the calibrate tool for RGBW lighting).
Ah, that "connections". It refers to the connecting path that is required between the end of one track in a playlist, to the beginning of the next track. A brief "Connections 101":
All tracks start and end at either the Center (Rho = 0) or the edge (Rho = 1).
There are four possibilities: "00", "01", "10", and "11" - meaning a track starts at the Center and ends at the Center; a track starts at the Center and ends at the edge; etc.
The app will try to make tracks in a playlist start the next tract without any connecting path. This is easy with 01 tracks and 10 tracks, because they can be reversed if needed. But reversing 00 and 11 tracks doesn't help.
So, if it's important to you that your playlists have no connecting paths (which look like a single arc between the edge and the Center), then the app will show you if there's any connections, and you can manually change the order of tracks to get rid of connections.
There's more - (e.g. you can set 01 and 10 tracks to be non-reversible), but that's for another lesson :).
Correct, just a short line that passes across the Center repeatedly. I've attached it. I'll probably WAit until the weekend to drop the bot from the table, I need to do some dusting anyway.

... at the correct speed. But after that, I WAnted to run an Erase and play another "Rho 00" track. So I added my MoveOut track (instructions of just "0 0" then "0 1") followed by an Erase that would run from the Center in. This time the Erase played at "regular track" speed.
So it's clearly possible get a Center-in Erase to run at the correct speed, but it also seems I'm able to make it fail somewhat consistently. Again, a playlist that simply has two Erase tracks back to back also results in the second, Center-in Erase running at "regular track" speed.

010_dirty.thr - Just leaves the ball at rho=0, no patterns, no cleaning. Useful when you have a pattern that creates it's own background, but WAnts to start at 0
inwards_subburst.thr -this could also be called "that track which pushes sand back into the Center".
A lot of tracks tend to push the sand from the Center of the table outwards (especially my "Sunburst" track). Getting the sand evenly distributed means taking the glass top off and smooth it. PITA.

Here is a track I made for just such an occasion.
It draws 100 inward spirals from the outside to Center. Named Erase.thr, so the firmware in your table will draw it faster.

Try this: Create a new playlist with two tracks in it. The first being "e10", and the second being "apache1". Play this playlist in sequential mode (not shuffled), and with repeat on. e10 gets the ball from the Center to the edge fairly fast, then apache1 spirals toward the Center, with lots of ins and outs - the net effect being that it moves sand toward the Center.
