Today my table started making multiple clicking noises a second when its Near the center, these are loud thunks that sound like skipping gears. I believe it is skipping gears since the lights get out of sync with the ball when these happen (lights move past the ball). It is more frequent in the center but still happens half WAy out. Seems to happen more on the South East-East side (Mini's cable is North) of the table. I have taken off the top and cleaned both the arms, the plates and the underside but its still present

It's hard to diagnose the cause of noise via verbal description - but I'm fairly sure the noise is not gear teeth being skipped. It is most likely the Rho stepper motor "stalling." When unable to turn its shaft because of Mechanical resistance (obstruction, higher than normal friction, etc.) it vibrates loudly. This can happen if Rho homing (finding the center) isn't working right, and the Rho axis hits its end of travel. It causes no damage to gear or pulley teeth. Our support team is expert at troubleshooting and fixing issues. Please contact the support desk, and if you can, take a video of your Mini when it's making the noise and out of position and upload it there.

I have also experienced the issue of the glass moving and pulling the adhesive bumpers off. Removing the adhesive, cleaning the frame and glass is a headache. I am real close to drilling 4 or 8 holes in the top of the Metal frame and inserting black bumpers with a stem that goes into the holes. These will not move or come off. This WAy you would simply have to reposition the glass top if it does move.

We know the current bumper strategy is less than ideal, and are working on a better solution (hopefully, and all-the-way-round rubber seal). At issue now is getting it to look nice. Will announce when we have something better available.

@heropup -- Thanks indeed for the background on Dropbox vs. Community! @Bruce, I realized that resetting my table would not delete the tracks beyond any possibility of retrieval, but I just wondered if there WAs a WAy to back up the specific list of tracks that I had chosen to download to my table so that I could quickly get those (and only those) back onto my table. It sounds like the workaround you provided will be perfect for that and the playlists, but going to that location returned a basic text page saying that it could not GET that location. Is SSH ...

Hello, have gone through numerous bumpers to hold the glass on the black powder coated Metal rim. They tend to come off pretty easy once we bump the glass or put our feet up on the table. Need to secure the table better and wondering if anyone has come up with an alternative?

Now that I'm re-downloading all the tracks (both from the dropbox and app), none of them come with the preview images. They all show the general Sisyphus logo. When I get into the Advanced Settings and click the top bar 7 times to get into Table Settings, I see a button to Regenerate Images. Mine is currently grey and says "Regenerating." Any idea on how long this takes?

@Bruce - I WAs hoping that a track by track download WAs my last resort, and that I could find them stored somewhere. Oh well, good thing we’re stuck at home.

@scott-piersma - Where did you download these tracks from? If it WAs the public Dropbox, they are still there. If from the Community (via our app), they also should still be available for dl.

I recently had to re-image my SD card due to corruption. It caused my table to no longer function (not even power up). Happy to say the re-imaging worked, and now my table is functional again. However, I had A LOT of extra tracks downloaded. You say they exist remotely, so is it possible to get them all back?

A career in IT has instilled a habit of trying to back up configurations whenever possible. In case I ever need to perform a factory restore, is there a WAy to back up and restore any additional tracks I've loaded into the table, as well as the playlists I've created with them? On a somewhat related note, I noticed that the tracks available in the Sisyphus public Dropbox linked by Bruce in this thread don't seem to match the tracks available in the Community section of the app. For example, the tracks in the "andre.tissot" and "Anthony Navarro" folders of ...

... the app these details are in the respective app store. Can I opt not to update? For the app this is a setting on your phone and not anything we can control. On the firmware, we do not auto update. However, a couple possible explanations occurred to Me. When loading the app it always checks for an update and prompts you to update. Is it possible this WAs clicked through without fully reading? Are there any others in your residence connecting to the table that may have triggered an update inadvertently or otherwise? When browsing the tracks in IOS the UI ...

Hmm... I don't really have a good, ready-made solution for you. Sisyphus is, by its nature, a slowly evolving experience - difficult to show specific drawings quickly. You can always change to a track, like "India" which covers a lot of the field relatively quickly. But I might suggest asking your guests to look closely at how the ball is creating the highly intricate dunes with extreme precision, as it adds layer after layer to long tracks like "Apache." Take a look at the Community tracks (Community tab on your app), and maybe you can find a short track that plays Near the periphery?

You can try disconnecting and reconnecting the 3-wire cable to the lights, at the connector Near the start of the light strip, and at the circuit board - but if that doesn't remedy the flickering, the strip will need replacement. Please contact our support team.

Hi, A couple of times a day, the ball gets "stuck" and the table produces a clicking noise. I've reset the table to no avail. Observations: Always happens Near the center. I _think_ it's during a homing operation. Does not appear to occur on a specific track. I've set the speed to something reasonable (~60%) Can eventually pull out of it (after a minute+ of clicking). ... on separate repos. Community is strictly for downloading community-shared tracks - whereas WebCenter is for composers - whether they share or not. You create a separate account for each. WebCenter allows us (admins) to make sure that shared tracks are a) playable, and b) don't break our TOS rules. But a composer can create and upload any track content they WAnt if it's marked private (vs. public). The Dropbox folder is now vestigial - but as you noted, still has tracks that haven't been migrated. Not every early composer has created a WebCenter account - b ...

@heropup - thanks for filling in the history of our Dropbox repo not being mirrored. @john.hughan - I had to check with Micah, since my knowledge of hi-level repo admin (WebCenter and Community) is pretty superficial: Tracks - all tracks (either shipped with the table or downloaded from the Sisyphus Community) exist remotely, so are retrievable. The only exception would be if you create a track on your computer, upload it to your table, and delete it off the computer. (Using WebCenter, you can store any number of your original tracks, and choose whether any/all are shared. You can always retrieve your own tracks.) Playlists - unfortunately at present, WebCenter cannot store your playlist info. As a work around, Micah suggests you can copy all the files in your table's /sisbot-server/sisbot/content folder. It includes all the tracks on your table as well as all your playlist info.
