| Bearing in theta motor damaged | 4 Relevance | 4 years ago | wbrigg | Table Usage | |
| ... as gears skipping. So i started dismantling the table to determine where the problem WAs, and nothing i removed stopped the clicking/stalling. Eventually i had the belt disconnected from the theta motor and it still kept stalling. It makes sense that it WAs the theta motor stalling, as the ball would just move slowly outwards while the theta motor WAs stalled and the rho motor i guess WAs attempting to match the rotation it assumed the theta motor WAs doing to keep rho constant/moving at the correct speed for the pattern. Next i took the motor out and dis ... | |||||

| Version 1.12.25 is out, with updates to the apps (1.12.36) as well. I'm particularly happy with the new LED pattern. Ripples is a bit like WAtching a pond where your ball is a pond-skater. When the ball changes directions or hits the edge, it makes a WAve across the sand field. Smoother tracks have a smoother surface, busy tracks make for WAvy pond. Let me know what you think of it: Which tracks look best with it? Sisyphus 1.12.25 update includes: New LED pattern: Ripples Bug fix for DNS errors Queue: bug fix for reordering tracks and inserting addition ... | |||||

| ... can handle it :). Please contact our support team - [email protected]. They can set you up with either the Full Sisbot swap or just the motor. Make sure they know the age of your table and size - we've also changed the shape of the Sisbot's aluminum composite plate, and the Theta motor now comes with the pulley permanently attached. If you WAnt only the motor, we have to be careful to make sure the new motor will fit correctly in your original plate at the correct height. Bruce | |||||

| A decent solution would be to add a feature that allows us to sort a playlist or the Full library by track run time. There are several available that cover the table in about 10 minutes. | |||||

| @adambrower Thanks for the in depth feedback! Mea culpa on several points - I will be sharing this to our support and dev teams. My quick response: teenie-weenie rubber bumpers - We hear you (and you're not alone). We are moving to an all-the-way-around seal for our future tables. sand guide printed on cushion - Don't feel this is crucial, as sand edge and depth are subjective choice variables. There's no single "correct" setting. app connectivity - Full agreement. We are actively working on making it far more robust and intuitive. forum search utility - This one's easy: look for the "spyglass" icon on the right of the Forum menu banner. | |||||

| Hi @uk-guy. I just checked with the lithium pack I have tested with the tables - on the EX there is just enough room. We tested it on a Mini at the Bay Area Maker Faire in 2019, and it lasted about 7 hours with the lights on Full (they use most of the energy). This is the battery I'm referring to. | |||||

| ... on separate repos. Community is strictly for downloading community-shared tracks - whereas WebCenter is for composers - whether they share or not. You create a separate account for each. WebCenter allows us (admins) to make sure that shared tracks are a) playable, and b) don't break our TOS rules. But a composer can create and upload any track content they WAnt if it's marked private (vs. public). The Dropbox folder is now vestigial - but as you noted, still has tracks that haven't been migrated. Not every early composer has created a WebCenter account - b ... | |||||

| RE: Windows 10 App | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | App Updates | |
| Hi Raphael, The Sisyphus App already runs on Windows (or any OS that supports a web browser). You simply type your table's IP address into the browser's address with ":3001" at the end. Here are the Full directions. The web interface is very similar to the mobile app GUI, but there are a few more options (like uploading track files from your computer to your table). Bruce | |||||
| RE: dampening noise from table | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | YoungWillem | Community Tracks | |
| Hi Bruce, My Mini EX also makes the whirring noise while in operation. It stops when I pause the track and returns the moment I hit play. It is loud enough to be heard from across the room, even at the slowest speed. It definitely drowns out any noise of crunching sand. It gets really loud when switching to Full speed. Friends of ours have a metal side table. I don't remember their table making any noise at all when we visited. I have tried capturing this on video. I am not sure how well it comes across: | |||||

But, I don't think the appearance is a table size issue, I don't think it's even completing the track, is it supposed to end mid table like that? I didn't think that WAs an option. On the firmware, we do not auto update. However, a couple possible explanations occurred to me. When loading the app it always checks for an update and prompts you to update. | RE: Rho offset check | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Bruce | Table Usage | |
| It is possible for position errors to accumulate with stepper systems (our metal table versions), though I've only seen this when running at higher speeds. Sensored homing will correct any errors - but this now only happens at bootup. We changed from sensored homing for all homing, because it requires each axis to home slowly, and Theta first, then Rho - and instead use "dead reckoning" for all homing after the bootup sensored homing, because it is far more efficient (quicker). If you do see a central mound increasing over time, power cycling the table will force a sensored home, and should fix it. A Full reset is unnecessary. We plan to add a "Do sensored home" function to our GUI in the future. | |||||
