For those of us who are nowhere near as smart as you all. Can you explain step by step on how to put Custom tracks from the dropbox folder onto our playlists?
Where do you go to create your own Custom tracks?
That explains it. I tried different number of points to no avail... looking forward to having this option at some point my Custom erases are slow
Regarding the default tracks, can those be shared? Or at a minimum, it would be great to know their start-end locations.
Hey gang, finally poking around in here and i don't see a place that has all the Custom track in one spot, i assume something may be in the works....in the meantime maybe everyone who has made track and made them available can post in here with the location/site to get the tracks....its a start! And i am constantly looking for more new ones.....
I stumbled across the Sisyphus coffee table and WAs enthralled. While I enforced a mandatory "sleep on it" period before purchasing, I started looking into the Custom track options like Sandify, Sisyphus for the Rest of Us, and Text Generator -- in addition to trying to wrap my head around theta/rho movement instructions in general, which WAs a completely new concept for me. Of course all of that research just ended up sealing the deal. 🙂
But now I'm wondering if there is -- or might someday be -- a WAy to run the table in "single-step" mode. By that I me ...
The direction is reversed because your installation of your Custom light strip is reversed relative to the direction that the board expects (e.g., clockwise if the board is expecting anti-clockwise). If you installed the NeoPixels strip on the same backing as the original strip (there is just enough space on the backing to do this), then it needed to be placed in the opposite orientation as the original strip, because once you flip over the backing so that the NeoPixels strip is on the top half, that reverses the orientation.
In other words, if the original Sisyphus strip is installed anti-clockwise, then the NeoPixels strip needs to be installed clockwise on the same backing, then the entire backing is pulled out and flipped over so that the NeoPixels are now on top of the original strip. If you do not flip over the backing and leave the NeoPixels below the original strip, the illumination of the sand field will be uneven because the LEDs are mounted too low.
... causes of interference in your environment. Common reasons the table may struggle to maintain a connection are increased interference in a densely populated area, many 2.4 GHz devices in the area or distance from the router. The included radio is not particularly powerful so it's somewhat susceptible to the above issues. Solutions include changing router location, utilizing a 5 GHz band (our more recent tables support 5 GHz) or adding a more powerful WiFi adapter to the table.
If the issue is that channel 13 needs to be enabled there are two WAys to do ...
... my TRS-80 I discovered x=sin(t) and y=cos(t) for clockwise from 12 and it WAs only later in school I learned the "correct" WAy of doing counter-clockwise from 3. I also work now in an industry where if there are multiple WAys of doing something you can be assured they are all in common use (although I'd love to have a talk with the genius who decided bottom-up raster images made good sense after decades of them going the other WAy). So when programming the Sisyphus I just observed how it acted to the coordinates I sent it and went from there, I never once f ...
... plan to eventually add a WAy to add Custom shapes or even write turtle programs to draw unique designs that we (polar and rectangular) users can share.
If anyone has any other ideas of simple shapes I could add, or different transforms I can apply to the shapes, I'd love to hear them. I enjoy writing this tool, and seeing the output on my little zen XY.
I'll probably respond quickest if bugs and feature requests went in github:
