I can tell you how I got that. I got rid of the big fat line underneath. I thinned the text, kerned it, and scaled it a bit in order to try to make it more legible. I then added a thin line underneath the text and made sure that each letter just barely touched it. When I had a file I liked I uploaded to Sisyphus for the Rest of Us and had it create a .thr file. I went through several iterations of tweaking it. I'll attach the .PNG of my most recent attempt. Attachment : Mariposa8.png

I've chewed on it a little bit using Sisyphus For the Rest of Us. I think I see the path to making it work and will get there. Here's where I am now. I like playing with requests like this because they help me understand how to translate art -> table. Hey so I actually wouldn't upload that Who track the manual WAy. When I WAs making the track, I made the image too large and it crashed my table trying to generate the thumbnail. Had to reset it. I WAs told I would not have that issue uploading through the community though so I am WAiting to download it like you are once it gets approved. @ jamesjeffereyder - Welcome aboard! Probably the first thing we need to know is how you are creating your images. What software are you using? Also, if you post the image and also the thr files you've created, that may help a lot in understanding your scaling issue. Bruce

My tracks were all created on a Mac as well. I haven't released any source (frankly, it's pretty hacky code), just tracks (at

... files is ".thr"). Theta is in radians, and is in normalized length (0 - 1, where 0 is at the center, and 1 is at the farthest travel out). Unitizing the Rho value makes all tracks universal for any size table. All moves are from point to point, but instead of being linear as they would be in a Cartesian machine, they produce spiral arcs in this system. The simplest track file has just two points - an example being the "erase.thr" track: #erase.thr (start a line with # to make it a comment) #one vertex per line: Theta(real)<space>Rho(real from 0-1) ...

I'd like to learn more about how to create my own tracks. Seems most of the tools are Windows based - so if there is any need for someone on a Mac to be involved, I'm in! 🙂

Hi Steve, All I can say with regard to your idea is: "Aye, aye Captain!" We planned to create a repository of tracks for people to download and put out software to make it easier to compose new tracks, from the very start of this project. But reality imposed some priorities (like figuring out how to make and ship our tables :). We've had to delay Setting this up ourselves due to lack of time and resources - but the goal has never changed. Help from the community is absolutely needed and welcome! A good place to start, if you're not already familiar with it, is with the stuff on our subreddit - links on our support pages: Bruce
