@brantharradine, We had a recent server issue that resulted in some tables loading pre-release firmware. Currently there are three resolutions to this.
Replace the SD card with a new one that has updated firmware: If you'd like a replacement SD card, send your mailing address, name, Order number or backer number to [email protected]
Advanced - manually update your firmware by connecting to it using SSH: see this article for the steps: Update Firmware using SSH
Advanced - re-image your SD card: see this article for the steps: Steps to re-image SD card
In the mean time, be aware that you are not currently missing any features as a result of this issue. However, you will not be able to update your firmware until one of the above three options is taken.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience and are continuing to develop our firmware and server for increased robustness and a better user experience.

@Don,
"Can anyone point me to some reading material that might help me progress into a more complex track making game?"
Welcome to my world! First off - although I'm pretty sure when it comes to sand plotting, I have more area under the curve than most - I'm no authority. But with regard to compexity - I would divide it, for now, into those tracks that are generated algorithmically, and those not. So the pumpkin track, and any tracks that you recognize (including text), are non-algorithmic. All the others -'crop circles', spikey or swirly/loopy spirals, and fractals - are created via multilayered recipes (instructions) -aka algorithms. Both branches are infinite design spaces. Markyland created Sisyphus For The Rest Of Us so that people could more easily explore non-alg space. If you're interested in algorithmic pattern space - start googling. All you need to do is place the connect-the-dots in the right Order :).
Hello all!
I have had my table several months now and am no less enamored of it than I WAs on day 1. I am having a recurring problem that I am hoping someone might have some insight on.
I have a 36" table running 1.4.0 (I previously had the beta, but had a sisbot replacement and did not re-upgrade). My computer is a MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6 and my preferred browser is Safari (but the problem is reproducible in Firefox and Chrome).
Right now, I am having a very unreliable connection to the table. If I use the IP address, it will usually con ...
... through, made that slot just big enough to fit the LED cord through (using an exacto knife and a micro hacking method), patted down the velvet, replaced the LED hoop upside-down and plugged it in!
It is GORGEOUS!!!!
The whole thing took maybe 30 minutes, most of which WAs spent hacking away at the table. I am certain someone with tools and skills could do it faster and better, but the truth is that you cannot see the damage created unless you take the glass top and the ring off of the table.
Two notes:
1) I have a 3' table and need to Order one extensio ...
Bruce, thanks for the information! Can the updated modifications be purchased/retrofitted to my older Model table? I would love to invite my coffee friends to sit around / enjoy my Sisyphus, but it’s awkward when I don’t WAnt them to put their coffee cup down. We still love our Sissy,, WAlk thru the room several times daily to check up on “her”, but never actually use the room for fear of something getting spilled.

Parking hits the spot!
I have decided that this will be a truly mixed materials project.
After a while thinking of a good WAy to make the acrylic sides of the drawing area with nice even bends, I thought it would be a good time to explore different materials. Aluminum angle would be easy to snip and bend every 5° or so, but it would be a pain to isolate the LEDs from it. I found some PVC edge trim at the local hardware store that is 1-1/8" tall. A bit shorter than I WAnted, but it will work out. I took my parking "valet" with me, and lo and behold, it fits ...
We're seeing the following issues here with the mobile app:
When the table is in hotspot mode and the app is started (mobile device connected to hotspot) it sits on the black logo screen for about 30 seconds before scanning starts and connection is made.
When attempting to connect the table to a wifi network and after selecting the network the screen will refresh to the settings screen not allowing the credentials to be completed.
@heropup - what is the firmware version on your table and mobile device Model? I'm attempting to recreate your specific issue.
I understand the frustration and please know we are working very hard to improve the update process for firmware and app. Most recently we have thoroughly redone the firmware update process to ensure a fully functional firmware and prevent failed updates. On this front I am confident that many improvements have been made.
The most recent app update is a step backwards and this is unacceptable. As director of our software development I hold responsibility. I am committed to ensuring all further updates are an improvement so all customers do not have to worry about loosing functionality and will be excited about updates including new features. On this note we are nearing release of the first version of web-center that will drastically simplify adding tracks to your table as well as sharing tracks with others. We will be offering this on TestFlight for iOS and beta for Android in the coming weeks. The first release will not require a firmware update.

Just tried one more track and I'm getting the same errors as before. Track uploads okay but after ~30-60 seconds of WAtching the spinning wheel it gives an error like "Could not process the request". I still saved out the track (palm2 from markyland) and on my desktop I can see it in the list with the generic Sisyphus logo.
In the iOS app instead of the track name I just see {{= Model.data.name }} and when I try to select that I get a JavaScript type error in index.html. There's a long path that ends in Sisyphus.app/www/prod/gen.js - 649
Hoping Sisyphus c ...
