| RE: Remote control by LaMetric Time, IFTTT, etc.? | 4 Relevance | 4 years ago | remy | Other Development | |
| Today I decide to give it another go (annoyed Google home/assistant integration stopped working). I solved it via my Samsung Smartthings hub. I've created a smart app in Smartthings that takes the input of a switch to determine if the Sisyphus need to be on or off (sleep or not). I access the table based on that switch and created a virtual switch in Smartthings that I name Sisyphus. The smart app accesses the Sisyphus table and mimics what the app sends to the table (monitor your network traffic 😉 ). Due to Smartthings being integrated to Google home/ assistant I now have a device called Sisyphus that I can also use in routines of both Smartthings and Google Home/Assistant + voice etc. Works like a charm, out the door with IFTTT. | |||||

| ... This worked for the last years so I can include the Sisyphus WAke up and sleep in my Google routine etc. Google "throwing" out IFTTT or at least changing this made this solution to stop working since last month. In theory Google Assistant support should be something Sisyphus Industries would WAnt right? Also it should not be to complex to have things like: Sisyphus WAke up, Sisyphus sleep, Sisyphus next track, Sisyphus erase, Sisyphus etc etc. | |||||

| Can you please add this as a native feature. Having three tables over 2 homes and logging and rescanning to change tables sucks. | |||||

| Hello, Connecting with multiple devices is not an issue. I suspect the phone not working is of a different make/model and there is some incompatibility with our current app. Please send make/model of each phone and which one doesn't work to [email protected] so we can look into this. Thanks Micah | |||||

| Once the table is connected to your WiFi network, any phone with the app that is also on the network will be able to detect your table and connect to it. And/or you can connect with a web browser from any computer on the same WiFi network. | |||||

| The app could make it easier to own more than one Sisyphus. In the Tesla mobile app, for example, you can just swipe between cars on the home screen to pick which one it's Controlling. | |||||

| Sorry - I guess we haven't made this feature very easy to findg since not that many people had more than one Sisyphus (until now). Go to Settings>Advanced> Logout from Sisyphus>OK. This should then cause it to scan for all Sisyphi on your network, and present you with a dropdown list - which should show both of yours and allow you to choose. | |||||

| Hi Bruce... so had a metal and table, recognized and Controlled by iOS app (latest version). Received mini and followed exact same procedure to connect it to my same WiFi network. Worked perfectly. HOWEVER, the metal table... while working is not recognized by the app s it has been. Go back and find a Sisyphus WiFi network and it only find the new mini. I’ve tried turning off, then on the larger table and no luck to connect to it. I’ve searched throughout the app and can’t find anyplace it would show a second table (in my case, the first table) or allow me to connect to another table. Do you have more detailed instructions? Perhaps with pictures? Goal, Operate “JimsMiniSisyphus” and “JimsEndTableSisyphus” on the same WiFi network through my iOS app. | |||||

| Glad you like 'em! No need to do anything special - just make sure your phone is on the WiFi that the table is connected to. Since you have one table in each place - and I'm assuming you have got each table on its respective WiFi - as long as your phone auto-connects to the trusted WiFi it recognizes, when you open the app it will scan for a Sisyphus and only find the one on that WiFi. If you ever move them so they're in the same place (and WiFi), then when it scans, it will find both and you will have to choose, within the app, which you WAnt to connect to. | |||||

| Simply being able to tell Alexa to pause/play, sleep/wake, or turn the light on/off on my Sisyphus would be fantastic. I'm excited to see this progress. Thanks for the reply. | |||||

| "Alexa - play dither_yinyang" - definitely! 🙂 Actually, using the LIFX Z string, since it is Homekit compat, I can tell Siri to change the lighting up/dn and change colors - and it works (which I still find amazing). | |||||
