Sisyphus Industries Community

I used node-red running on a RasPi to connect my Sisyphus to HomeKit. I can see the tables state and change brightness and speed and send it into sleep mode. It's all mapped as "lights" in homekit, but it works, see picture. It uses the HomeKit-bridged-nodes (). Flows are pasted below (import to node red), you need to set the IP in every HTTP node to your table's local IP. It is understood that you can individually erase after each track but that is ridiculous when you have 500 tracks downloaded. There should be an easy button to do this even if it takes two erases to do. Ideally there would be no pause between erases and starting the feature track. Different time limit between the tracks.

Followup: after updating to the latest firmware, the network problem is resolved. Download of "eclipseswirl6000" still returns a 500 response, though.

After attempting to download a file from the community tab, the message displayed WAs "response code 500". The download fails, of course The table is then disconnected from the network, and can only rejoin the network on a hard reboot—unplugging the device and then plugging it in. This is obviously a problem. The file is one of the "eclipse" tracks.

A quick search reveals that the RPi's default setting is 500 or 600ma max/ USB port, and Qi chargers provide 7.5 - 10 W - so with the USB 5V standard, that's 1500 - 2000 ma needed. It appears there is a software setting on the Pi that can bump it up to 1200ma / port, but that sounds inadequate as well. Let's see what our engineer has to say...

	I used node-red running on a RasPi to connect my Sisyphus to HomeKit. I can see the tables state and change brightness and speed and send it into sleep mode. 	It is understood that you can individually erase after each track but that is ridiculous when you have 500 tracks downloaded. There should be an easy button to do this even if it takes two erases to do. Ideally there would be no pause between erases and starting the feature track. Different time limit between the tracks.

	Followup: after updating to the latest firmware, the network problem is resolved. Download of "eclipseswirl6000" still returns a 500 response, though.

	After attempting to download a file from the community tab, the message displayed WAs "response code 500". The download fails, of course The table is then disconnected from the network, and can only rejoin the network on a hard reboot—unplugging the device and then plugging it in. This is obviously a problem. The file is one of the "eclipse" tracks.

	A quick search reveals that the RPi's default setting is 500 or 600ma max/ USB port, and Qi chargers provide 7.5 - 10 W - so with the USB 5V standard, that's 1500 - 2000 ma needed. It appears there is a software setting on the Pi that can bump it up to 1200ma / port, but that sounds inadequate as well. Let's see what our engineer has to say...
