2) the size for artwork for rounded tables is not in proportion for xyla. Although it has been somewhat fixed by the zoom option, would like to request to select which area of the artwork it will zoom at and how much % of zoom it can cover the artwork (can zoom out/zoom in or drag to select which area of artwork to zoom)

3) for those zoomed out artworks with white/empty backgrounds, request to automatically add a layer on the white/blank background of the artworks beneath the artwork so that there will be lesser need to run an erase before starting the artwork

4) option to choose which erase artwork before running the artwork in the playlist. And a seperate speed setting to do the erase and artwork.

Version 1.12.25 is out, with updates to the apps (1.12.36) as well.

I'm particularly happy with the new LED pattern. Ripples is a bit like watching a pond where your ball is a pond-skater. When the ball changes directions or hits the edge, it makes a wave across the sand field. Smoother tracks have a smoother surface, busy tracks make for wavy pond. Let me know what you think of it: Which tracks look best with it?

Sisyphus 1.12.25 update includes:

New LED pattern: Ripples

Bug fix for DNS errors

Queue: bug fix for reordering tracks and inserting additional tracks

Auto-set Reversible when adding a track

BLE: Wi-Fi reset/Hotspot added

Startup checks filesystem size, clears large logs if too full

XYLA: home sensor check once a week

Additional bugfixes

Sisyphus App 1.12.36:

BLE Wi-Fi Reset/Hotspot buttons if found and unable to connect

XYLA Drawing area increased to fill space & fixed aspect ratio on preview

XYLA removed glow from History images

XYLA passcode homepage image fixes

Onboarding text changes

Socket connection delayed until finish of initial loading

Additional bugfixes

Some particular notes: The "BLE Wi-Fi Reset/Hotspot" shows a page with buttons that allow the app to force a reconnect of the Wi-Fi network if the Sisyphus is found (via Bluetooth), but unable to connect to it on the network. This should help anyone who accidentally adds the Sisyphus to a Guest network or has particular router settings, such as Airtime Fairness, that disable the communication between app and Sisyphus. If a Passcode is set on your Sisyphus, the BLE Hotspot Reset will not work, you will need to physically use the Reset button on the table to force it back into a Hotspot. This should prevent unwanted tampering of settings. We suggest any Sisyphus in a public space should have a Passcode set on it.

Sorry for the delay in this post, but version 1.12.17 has been out for about a week. Phone apps to release once they pass review process.

Initial Homing bugfix

Bugfix where table would Wake after pausing between tracks

Improved RGBW LED frequency

Improved messaging on connection issues

Navigation buttons for scrolling Featured Playlists

Fixed Onboarding after restoring from Backup

Community track download fixes

Additional bug fixes

A couple very important fixes are included that I want to point out: Homing bugfix corrects an offset issue. Your table will recalibrate homing once, on first run after the update, where you may hear a few clicks from the motors hitting the end of travel length. This is expected, and will not hurt your Sisyphus. Secondly, the bug where your table could Wake from Sleep at unexpected times is fixed. It would happen when the Pause Between Tracks time would expire, and it start playing right away, bringing itself out of Sleep. The new behavior is that if the timer expires, and it is currently asleep, it will Play at the Wake time instead.

One final note, when the new phone apps are released, we are going to start requiring the Sisyphus be on the most recent update (1.12.17 at this time) in order to download Tracks and Playlists from Community. We are updating our Webcenter server, and this update puts the tables in line with the server request changes that are coming. If you've already updated, you will not be affected at all.

My wifi network has a short, easy to type password because I live in the boonies and there is no need to create a long, 8 character password (especially on televisions and other internet-connected appliances that make you "type" with an IR remote). Unfortunately, the Sisyphus app has other ideas about this and won't join my wifi. I'm not going to change my wifi password because it would disconnect all of those devices, and my captive portal network (for guests) has a "ToS checkbox" for them to accept, which confuses the heck out of the box as well, so... It doesn't work for me.

Feature request: Please remove the password length check for *joining* wifi - there is no need to do that.

This update adds three big changes: Timezone support, Erase Before Playing (a track), and a Queue.

Timezone will initially be set automatically for you, based on the timezone of your phone or browser. You can manually change the timezone on the Night Mode page, and your Sisyphus will stay on the selected timezone even if your phone or browser timezone does not match.

Erase Before Playing is an option on each individual Track page. This setting is per-track, so if you turn it on for "Sailboat", every time that track plays, it will run an erasing movement right before it. The currently playing name will be "Sailboat", it does not say "Erase" during those movements. It also plays the erase movement at a faster speed than the regular track movements.

The Queue is a new way that the Sisyphus manages the upcoming tracks. It is a single list which can be added to and rearranged at any time. If you play a playlist, it will put all of the tracks into the Queue and begin playing. Making a change to the playlist after that will have no effect on the queued tracks.

In "Next Up" on the homepage, you can toggle the Connections button to see if any extra movements are needed between tracks as well as if they have been reversed to smoothly move between tracks. Drag the double-bar on the right side of the track line to rearrange upcoming tracks. The queue will do its best to play the tracks without connection lines, reversing tracks when needed and able.

Some smaller additions and bug fixes include:

The initial connection to the table splits data into smaller chunks (tracks/playlists/etc) so the app is less likely to lose connection on a table with a large library

Homing speed is now independent of the speed slider

Improved slowdown when ball is near the edge (especially on Erase)

Reversed track image when track is playing in reverse

Primary/Secondary color swap button

Color hex code accepts 6-digit values (and fills white with 00)

Clearer error messages for homing failures
