| RE: Light emitting from space under glass | 12 Relevance | 6 years ago | heropup | Table Usage | |
| On the 3 foot diameter coffee table, the metal rim that supports the glass is about 1/2 inch in width, so I would not use any of the strips that are wider than that. To be sure, I'd choose something as small as possible. Also, I think the surface mount seals, rather than the flange mount, are the ones you should be looking at. The other consideration is the material; there seem to be two types: EPDM and silicone. The former is used in the seals found on refrigerators. Silicone, however, is oil-resistant and in my experience, offers even greater durability. However, I don't know if silicone might be too slippery for the glass, since some silicones don't have the "grippy" feel that other synthetic rubbers have (I used to have a silicone phone case, which I hated because it kept slipping out of my hands). I think EPDM should work fine but I can't be sure. Based on these considerations I would look at 93085K21, 93085K93, 93085K52, 93085K35, 9141K168. | |||||

| ... to clean repeatedly. Again -- the only caveat is that if there is a spill, you don't leave it for a long time (perhaps allowing it to run over the edge which is more a problem for the carpet beneath the table than getting onto the sand). As long as a spill is not unattended (like a leak from a WAter-filled flower vase), clean up is quick and easy and not a risk to the table. Here are a couple of examples from our Instagram grid, WAy back: Aftermath of party at the shop and my coffee spill (I nearly always have a cup close by). | |||||
| RE: Using mortar. | 8 Relevance | 6 years ago | Bruce | Table Customization | |
| That's fantastic, Gareth! I love it when people explore new WAys to use Sisyphus. Over the years, I've also WAnted to "preserve" the sand field, and thought about trying plaster or running a track submerged in resin. I tried it under WAter first, and found out that the angle of repose for sand is considerably less than air - so gave up. But we did find a "clean" WAy to do it: glass frit. | |||||
| Using mortar. | 8 Relevance | 6 years ago | gareth_desanctis | Table Customization | |
| Hello Everyone, I WAnted to see if I could make permanent art using the table. So I decided to replace the sand with mortar. After the design WAs made I spayed with a mist of WAter and let it cure. Then filled with sand and flipped over. Next poured mixed mortar on top to make a disk for it so it could be handled. Now I have a stepping stone. Haha. Enjoy! | RE: Color lights / 2 Ball retrofit kits? | 3 Relevance | 6 years ago | cdikes | Table Customization | |
| If changing to the color and 2 ball upgrade, will all of the existing company available programs exist (and/or need to be upgraded?) so that the 2 balls work independently for all programs? If other members create programs/ shows , can they upgrade theirs to 2 ball? Or do they need to be redone for 2 ball Solo action? Thanks for the information. | |||||
